Pleasantly surprised
I was ready for throwing my alarm out of the window. It was so bright it lit up the whole room, even on the lowest light setting. Bought this, thought I'll try it !! Fantastic piece of kit, does exactly what it says, no bright light, can still see the time easily if I wake in the night even without my glasses on. It's easy to apply. Well worth the money. Highly recommend

Worked well but expensive for two strips of plastic.
They definitely dimmed my annoying bright alarm clock which does dim but not enough. Sadly you have no way of knowing how much a clock will dim until you buy it. Stuck to my display ,which I cleaned first, perfectly. I used two strips as I still found the light a bit bright but that’s just personal preference. It definitely cuts down the brightness. Only thing I dislike about the product is the price. Almost £10 for what is essentially two pieces of plastic! I’d go for analogue click but then there’s the risk of constant ticking which is even more annoying!

Perfect for bedrooms
Bought for the screen of a smart thermostat in our bedroom. Husband was always complaining the light kept him awake. Easy to cut to size and it uses static to cling so no sticky residues. Dimmed the light by about 70% and husband has stopped complaining about the light.

Only one sheet was useable
The first sheet out of the packet works well and really dims the very bright lights on my alarm clock. The second unfortunately was stuck to the packet and now won't stick to anything! It was a lot of money for one useable sheet.

Worked really well
Son's new digital clock was way too dright in the night. Got this, cut to size and fitted. 100% better. you cab still see the time in the daylight as well.

a bit of thin plastic
The impression given by these is that they will adhere to any led or display to block out light. I didn't get that far with testing these as they have no adhesive, they are simply a film that clings by static. This rendered them completely useless for the intended purpose of blocking leds on a phone charger. They may serve on a digital clock display... but on any other device these are pretty useless as they will simply fall off... Avoid.

Really good
Order these for the baby monitor as the screen is super bright even on its lowest setting an the brightness has been disturbing my sleep. I used a piece of paper to get a template of size than cut the dim it sheet it’s easy to cut to size and apply, I read some reviews about it not sticking etc but it does stick statically really well to the monitor just make sure you clean an dry what ever your applying it to first and then rub over it once applied with a towel or dry cloth. as you can see by the photo I peeled the corner away so you could see the difference in brightness it has made such a difference

Does the job - BUT
I purchased this for use on a very bright digital alarm clock. The product itself works okay, adheres to a clean surface and does dim the clock display, only time (no pun intended) will test it's durability. However, it is very expensive for two rather small pieces of plastic, was very badly packed by Amazon resulting in an angular crease that took a while to remove. The factory packing was even worse with one of the sheets stuck to the plastic packaging.

I used these dimming tabs over the face of the digital clocks in our bedrooms. What a great product! At night, we can still see the time on the clock without it lighting up the entire room.

I think the dimming sheets are a good product, though expensive for what they are. They only partially solved my problem of the green numbers on an alarm clock casting an unwelcome glow in the dark. The glow is minimized, but it also makes the numbers too dim to easily read and they are invisible in moderately bright light. The sheets definitely dim the display though, so they certainly work, hence the 5-star rating. I don't know what the "brightness" rating is supposed to mean, so please ignore it.

I had to purchase a new alarm clock after my 10 year old Emerson SmartSet finally died. Wouldn't power on anymore. I'd had it for years. It was one of those cool "smart" Emerson alarm clocks that programs itself when you plug it in and later automatically adjusts to daylight saving time. So...I set out to buy another one. I bought the current model of the Emerson smart clock at Walmart. It seems to work okay. Plugged it up and watched it immediately program itself. That's what I want! Fast forward: bedtime. I turned the lights off, and suddenly we have a blue lighthouse in the corner of the bedroom. You could read a book by the light. I switched it to "dim," and now you can only read a book if you're next to it...laying in the bed. I can't sleep like this! I have light blocking curtains just to block out the moonlight! We didn't sleep for days. We were exhausted. So, I came to Amazon for a potential solution. I ordered this tint film try to dim the light to a bearable level. Let that sink in for a minute: I bought a $19 alarm clock from Walmart...and then I bought TINT for it. And I couldn't wait for it to arrive. When these little tint sheets arrive, I ripped it open, eyeballed it to size (it's an alarm clock for crying out loud; it's not like I'm tinting a car) and cut it down with my pocket knife (ain't got no time for scissors). I slapped this baby on...and I could barely see the clock from across the room in broad daylight. Oh yeah, I forgot it was on dim. Switched to bright. That works! But...wait until bedtime. Bedtime arrived, I smacked the dim button on the alarm clock and crawled in bed. The alarm clock, even on dim, is still too bright. But at least now, it's manageable to the point we've been able to get used to it. This tint dimmed it considerably and did just what it advertised to do! I can't fault this product for an incredibly poor designed Emerson product.

I am a light sleeper that has been struggling with insomnia for years. My ideal sleeping condition is to have a pitch dark room. So, the glaring blue and green lights on my cable box, air purifier or electrical cords prevented me from falling asleep, sometimes waking me up in the middle of the night and when that occurred, the lights were like a subtle form of torture preventing me from falling back to sleep. I would find myself getting a sock or trying to tape paper over the lights, which were ineffective band-aids to the problem until I stumbled upon the Dim It ® light dimming sheets . What a brilliant idea coming up with this product. I wish I had thought of it myself! These dimming sheets work like a charm. They are like a film that adheres to your lit devices without using glue or anything leaving a sticky residue. So you can move around for best placement, remove, etc., without gunking up the device with the light. You cut the sheets of film to fit right over the areas you want dimmed. So, the one package I purchased is more than plenty. I have actually only used part of one sheet to dim all of the lights in my bedroom and am no longer bothered by having to hunt for something, anything, in the middle of the night to cover the light. The only drawback is that now I have dimmed the light on my cable box, I cannot see the time, but I would much rather have that, then the bright blue light glaring at me! Plus, it is not great for those of us with insomnia to be watching the clock all night anyway. One last bonus about the dimming sheets is that placing them over something like the cable box, does not prevent me from using the remote that is paired with the cable box, so the film does not obstruct the connection, just the annoying light. Winner!

Light Dims are not stickers - they only attach to smooth surfaces using "static cling." If you want to block out lights on other displays or objects that aren't smooth, get electrical tape. Light Dims work as expected, they dim the displays on my alarm clock, modem/router, and the panel on my microwave, and yet the displays are still readable. I never realized how much these small lights assault our eyes, I am very glad I bought Light Dims before the price rose so dramatically. 12 dollars was a bit overpriced but 30 dollars is ridiculous. I would not recommend Light Dims for that price, even though they work.
