15HP VFD works great on my 7.5HP Metal Lathe
Setting up / Programming: After about a week of considering this VFD, I finally pulled the trigger. I connected my incoming 220v wires to R, T, and ground, and my motor wires to U, V, W, and ground. Shortly after powering on the VFD, I emailed & messaged customer service for help. I sent them a picture of my 3 phase motors nameplate, stated the incoming voltage to my building, and that the machine was a metal lathe. I received a response overnight with all the necessary parameters for my specific application (See attached photo as an example). Some of the parameters and settings were mixed up from what I received in the email, but with the help of the manual and VFD indicator lights, I was able to easily figure out which parameter controlled what. I also set parameter F9.12 to 00 as stated by the customer service team. Once that was all said and done, I pressed run and the machine fired right up! Functionality: So far, just using the VFD for its base function of spinning a motor and varying speed, this thing works as it should. I haven’t messed with any of the digital inputs or other special functions. I will update my review if anything gives me issues. Side note: I did order a ribbon cable to move the controller to the front of the lathe. I know my VFD placement is quite odd at the moment. I’m working on it.

I’m very happy
The 11kw version is powering my 10hp screw compressor with no problem. The instructions are easy to understand for English readers. My set up cycles the compressor between 50hz loaded and 30hz unloaded. That configuration was logical and easy to set up. Note: mine was factory set up for 3phase input and it took me longer than it should have before I figured that out. I’m using single phase input. Other than that, A+!

Not working single phase
I bought a vfd and the description says that it can work from single phase to 3 phase. But when I try to conect it and use it with the single phase didn’t work

Tech support is really good!
Unfortunately the VFD was too small for my needs but the tech support from this company is REALLY good. They respond quickly and will help you configure the inverter. I am converting single phase into 3 phase and needed to oversize the VFD because of this. The machine is a 26 x 80 metal lathe and the chuck, by itself weighs over 200 lbs.

I purchased this for a three phase 7 1/2 hp lathe I purchased. It works well to convert single phase to three phase and has unlimited speed control. It was a little bit hard to install as the instruction manual isn’t the greatest. It’s a direct translation from Chinese, but the tech-support was fast and gave me all the parameters I needed to set to make it work well .
