I recently started using the AstroAI Inrush Digital Clamp Meter for my various DIY electrical projects, and it has quickly become one of my go-to tools. The device is incredibly accurate and versatile, allowing me to measure AC/DC current, voltage, temperature, resistance, capacitance, frequency, and continuity. One of the features I particularly like is the VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) mode, which provides precise readings even with fluctuating frequencies. The LOZ (Low Impedance) mode is another great addition, making it easier to troubleshoot ghost voltage issues. The inrush current function is also very handy for checking startup currents on motors and other appliances. The multimeter is easy to read and use, thanks to its large, backlit display and intuitive interface. The non-contact voltage detection feature is a nice safety touch, allowing me to identify live wires without direct contact. One small drawback is that the temperature readings can be a bit slow to stabilize, but this hasn't been a major issue for me. The build quality feels robust, and the included carrying case is convenient for storage and transport. Simply brilliant - well made - quality workmanship in design and materials - voltage and Amp readings accurate - displays current Temp on screen as a default, and has all the required features of a good auto ranging multimeter with added Apm Clamp ability. Also came with a thermocouple for accurate readings of temperature.

A real value for such a capable meter. Did a Design of Experiments comparing it with a Fluke and found identical performance. Pricing was right, 6000 count, fit, finish, and especially the construction and durability seem good to slightly above average, but time will tell.

So, I got my AstroAi Multimeter and I was pleasantly surprise by the build quality. However it did have an issue when reading continuity going crazy and all over the place. It seem to have some issue on this basic function. I contacted Astro through their website and they send me a replacement that worked perfectly. I'm very happy with ease of use of their multi meter (CM600) as well as accuracy. I mostly do car diagnostics with it. Most importantly I can report that there is a company behind these products and they do care about their customers.

The clamp-on current and voltage meters work very well. I was measuring some low-level currents of 1-5A and it was accurate within about 0.2 A , that's pretty good for a clamp meter with a 600A range. The display is easy to read in both darkness and daylight. It is backlit with good contrast. About the only thing I wished for is that they would have a US version or a switch inside to display temperatures in F instead of C. On the main temperature readout it shows both. It would be cool to have a DIP switch in the battery compartment or something like that to display only F.

For people who can DIY and understand electrical problems this is a great addition to your tool box. Lots of problems occur with tripped breakers, blown fuses, short circuits, or bad switches. Start learning and doing the repairs yourself to save $$$.

Robust multimeter full of user-friendly features.

No Micro amps funtion. Reading speed is a bit slow as well. Should have the option to turn light on and off and sreen too. Cuz it's good to have a big clear sreen, but once you under the sunshine, the bright could have a little difficulty as well

Very impressed with it so far. I've used it in -20C. It slows down as expected in those temps. Otherwise the backlit screen is very nice.

The included temperature probe was great for checking the temp difference on vehicle HVAC units. The NCV works well but I always double-check with the probes for safety. I found the readings for AC current to be very consistent and accurate when testing circuits as I work with up to 600V. The DC clamp function was a huge plus if you are testing for battery draw. Overall this unit is amazing for the price point and I would highly suggest it.
