I’ve read through most of the books on MBT including books which focus individually on practice and theory. I think this book synthesises both without being bogged down in the complexity of the theory. I think the authors have written it with perspective of how MBT has developed over the years, for eg. Epistemic trust. Another highlight is I felt that the authors humanise the subject making it more intuitive and relatable. I would recommend this as a good book to train with and a good book to develop greater understanding once you’re beginning to practice using the MBT model.

I picked up this book after reading Carla Sharp's Mentalizing in Psychotherapy. This book was a wonderful follow-up for a more comprehensive guide to MBT. The trauma chapter was especially useful.
