WOW THIS WORKS GREAT!!! I can't kneel down easily anymore to clean out the skimmer. 75 years young-LOL! The Skimmie is amazing and no more kneeling or getting help from another to clean out my skimmer. Fast and easy cleaning!!!!!! YAY

The Skimmie set of pool tools are fantastic! As I age I can no longer bend and kneel as I once did. Now I can test my pool water using the Skimmie Dip, it easily allows me to get down 18 inches in the water to accurately draw water test samples. The Skimmie Hook allows me to capture the pool vacuum and lift the skimmer cover without getting down on my knees. And last but not least the Skimmie net makes it a breeze to skim out the pool debris that spill out from the skimmer basket. The Skimmie tools are brilliantly designed, well constructed, and attractively colored. Thank you to Monica, the founder of Skimmie, you allowed me to care for my pool again.

I love this time-saving tool. I bought it to use with the Skimmie weighted skimmer basket handles I bought (separately). The hook makes it easy to pull deck covers and the baskets out to empty them. The net is perfectly sized for catching debris in the skimmer when you pull the baskets out. It comes with basket handles, too, which is nice, but you should buy the other ones they offer if you use socks—it makes changing the socks easy. The handles that ship with the tool should last long, assuming you don’t abuse them. I’ve seen reviews that show broken handles, but I don’t see how that’s possible unless you are holding the handle to forcefully shake debris from the basket. With all due respect to other users, they are not meant for this. The plastic will fatigue and eventually break. They are more than sufficient to remove the basket from the pool, even with waterlogged debris, but you need to hold the basket when emptying it. The hook and handle would be great for reducing risk if you live somewhere that has poisonous snakes or spiders that like to visit the skimmer. It also ships with a snap-on sample collector that makes it easy to get a proper water sample from 18” below the surface. The collector has more capacity for water than you need for most tests. This has totally eliminated my need to bend or crouch, saving my back. After a few auto accidents, my lower back is susceptible to strain, especially from bending or crouching. The Skimmie effectively eliminated the need for that, and reduced the amount of time it takes to empty my basket. It’s a huge time-saver and is well worth the price.

This thing is awesome and I wish I had found it years ago! I had to use a foam pad to kneel on my pebbled concrete in order to clean the skimmers or get a water sample. With the Skimmie, I barely have to bend. I can pull the skimmer covers and baskets with the hook, and the net easily scoope floating leaves out of the skimmer wells. Pulling a water sample is easy, too, and an 8-in-1 test strip fits into the sample tube. The only issue I had was that the screws to attach the handles to the skimmer basket did not fit through my Hayward skimmer baskets, so I could not attach them, but I can hook the original basket handles and pull the baskets easily. This is a great product, and it will definitely make pool season easier!

Perfect for my needs. I have a small waterfall in my backyard, and the nets work great for getting the leaves out. The adjustable pole works for the lengths I need at various angles, and the smaller net is perfect for cleaning out the pump box and for opening and closing it.

We have used this for a while now in our rock-bottomed fish pond, and it is still going strong. We store it out of direct sunlight and that probably keeps it from weakening. Great size for one-handed skimming way out in the middle to remove floating and submerged leaves. Small enough that we don't accidentally catch minnows.

Your knees and back will thank you for buying it.

Didn't even last 2 weeks, no way to get in touch with seller to deal with replacing the one yellow plastic pull out. The hook and net is a great concept but broke pulling out simple leaves from my skimmer. No way that was 25 lbs. Wish they coated metal or used better material. No way to contact vendor for resolve.
