Where is this product made?

Distributed by Wismettac Asian Foods, Inc., Santa Fe Springs,Ca. It doesn't say it was made there, but I assume so. It's OK.... I bought it for a recipe and haven't used much of the rather large bag. Lasts a long time, thouhh.

I don't think so. It is fermented. That would destroy any probiotic benefit. Also it should not be put in as a soup base boiling, only simmering. It refrigerates for a long time. I put it in clean jars to use as I need it.

Is this made in Japan?

Thinking that I should know, I was raised by a Japanese woman, and loved her food--always begging for one more bite: my father would have a sandwich, I would have a rice-ball. Though a little salty at first, this produce mixes well with everything, really, everything and fits my life style, really, fits.
