Only got this in February and have used it a few times and it was genuinely good but today I set it up and it just broke at the light. Like all the fixtures came apart and there is no way of salvaging it?? Tried to contact customer service but to no avail. So avoid I guess

Ideal solution for lighting

This softbox light is a great addition for any photography setup. It offers varying brightness options and comes with a tripod stand, bulb, bag, and remote. With just one light, it's ideal as a sidelight or spotlight to complement existing lighting. Positioned at an angle, it can add dramatic effects and highlight objects effectively. The quality seems solid, making it a valuable tool for enhancing your shots.

This is a nice little softbox light with varying brightness options. Comes with a tripod stand, bulb, bag and remote. As you only get one, it's more suited to being a sidelight or spotlight, or filling in any exisiting lighting. However, placed at an side angle it can be used to add drama to some shots as well as highlight objects. Quality seems good!

First time brought this light for recording, damn its all perfect. and working 100 % don't hesitate to buy this one.

I was lucky enough to get to try both this unit as well as the similarly priced offering by Neewer in the same week. The differences are pretty staggering when you consider they're being sold for nearly the same price. This model comes with a decent metal stand (Neewer's is plastic) that also happens to be quite light while also retaining a much higher degree of rigidity. The lightbulb this kit uses is also way better. One can select the brightness using the remote but you can change the color temp by either using the remote or by switching the unit on and off on the back. One flip gives you White, another off/on cycle gets it to half and half and another gives you more orange. Fantastic, although i still recommend keeping the remote handy. The remote does not come with the required AAA batteries but I find this acceptable. It also allows you to change the brightness, the Neewer model has none of these features. The bulb itself also has a very large heatsink on the back to keep it cool(ish) during longer shoots. The umbrella is an octogon shape instead of a simple square box like the Neewer and feels much heavier duty. The one weakness that seems to be a standard with all of these is the diffusion fabric. Its pretty much the same as Neewers as its just a single layer of synthetic fabric that doesn't allow for very much diffusion, you'll still get pretty hard edges to the lightbulb when looking at it. Its still better than neewers as the fabric seems to be sewed on a bit better and seems substantially stronger when being set up. I also like that this comes with a really nice carrying bag, the zippers are very thick and robust and won't catch on every little thing. It seems to be made with 600D canvas or something similar and not plastic fabric like Neewer's offering. It also comes with a shoulder strap although its a bit small to be used with it. It can fit the lightbulb in the bag but i'd recommend keeping that in the box so it doesn't get smashed when some grip throws it in with the other lighting equipment. All in all, If your looking for a new soft box that's under $100, you really won't find anything better at this price point. The fact that it has adjustable parameters makes it better than most of the cheap soft boxes I've tried. I do wish it had a longer power cable though.

This softbox lighting kit works really well. It's the perfect size for a small photo shoot. The light itself is easy to assemble. I'm not sure what the pole set is about. I couldn’t figure out how to piece those together or what their purpose is, despite the instructions. I couldn't find anything about them in the online description either. The remote works well though, and controls the softbox nicely. All but those white poles fit inside the carrying case when disassembled for easy transport.
