I added this to the console of my 2013 corvette and connected it to an alpine ilx-507 head unit. I removed the old usb port and resized the opening for this to fit using a dremel. I couldn't find a good replacement that fit so this was the only option and it looks great and wasn't that difficult to do.

Installed in a 2013 Subaru Forester. This product works great and as it should. I didn't have anywhere to cut it in, but it happened to fit next to my break controller. Only downfall is the wire length leaves you limited to where you can place it but you can buy short extension wires pretty cheap. I was hoping to use the factory location when I changed out the radio but didnt want to extend the wires adding another connection point.

had all of the connections needed to install a kenwood h/u into my tacoma, my only real complaint is that it's not a standard size, which is honestly to be expected due to this being made specially for GM trucks, i just wish companies stuck with the industry standard in knock-out sizes, you can go to any flaps and all of the switches and rest are all a standard size....now my asinine complaints are over, there's nothing wrong with this, the cables are nice of good quality and feel robust, not really supple but just enough to push around the dash. it's held in by two clips on the sides and has a very narrow frame which made custom cutting for this a bit more tedious than it needed to be, so mark 4 times cut once on this one, it's a narrower than standard but doable. the plastic isn't flimsy so it can take some pushing for install and should last a long time without breaking or chipping. i would recommend this, i really just wish there were more options for a part like this, i would have really liked to have this in a different size and orientation but finding that hdmi input really limits your choices...

Bought this for a NAV unit installed in my Titan XD. Added an extra USB and HDMI, just required a bit of trimming on the bezel with a dremel. But looks absolutely factory, cables are durable and impressed with the fit. If you own a chevy instead of a nissan, it will probably install without any mods.

I was thinking of a similar idea, only thing is missing is a mounting bracket for older cars. Things I would improve is, one USB to two internal splitter. Mono plug with an adapter for audio input only or use what it has for Audio with video.
