Sure Stevia Plus Monk Fruit

This is the best sweetener out there! This is a combination of pure Stevia extract and Luo Han (which I believe is monk fruit extract). Both have become mainstream but neither is great by itself. This sweetener provides the perfect ratio of each and is delicious! And as an added bonus, it has a low glycemic index. FYI: Keep in mind, a little goes a long way. This stuff packs a punch!!! 1 packet can sweeten 3-4 cups of coffee or tea, depending on your sweet tooth. It can clump if you let it but hasn't been much of a problem. Try to sprinkle it rather than dump it into a pile. It doesn't have non-clumping chemicals like the "mainstream" sweeteners out there.

PROS: (1) Not as bitter as regular stevia powder. (2) These foil packets won't break open in pocket or purse like the flimsy paper ones do. (3) The packets have a "starter tear" to help getting the packet open. CONS: (1) It is very easy to create a mess when opening the packet with your fingers using the "starter tear" slot so I keep a pair of scissors near the coffee maker so I can "clip-off" the top edge of the packet to prevent that mess. Sometimes while trying to open at the "starter tear" the packet rips uncontrollably and you get the extremely fine powder flying all over everything including your clothes and counter tops.

I've always preferred Stevia to other sweeteners because it is LESS sweet than other products and there is nothing artificial about it. I also prefer this packaging as it is thicker and, therefore, kept fresher.

I WILL NEVER BUY THIS PRODUCT AGAIN!!!! After purchasing this product for YEARS, I noticed a change in the texture and sweetness. The beauty of this product was it's purity, real Stevia with no additives, and the missing aftertaste of most Stevia sweeteners. After much research, it appears this product was changed to add more fillers than Stevia. Even the name has changed. It was once "Pure Stevia" now the name is "Sure Stevia." It has Maltodextrin, a white powder made from corn, rice, potato starch, or wheat. Even though maltodextrin comes from plants, it's highly processed. Shame on you KAL for your deceptive practices and product.

I love this sweetener and it has helped me drastically cut regular white sugar out of my diet. I used Truvia for a long time which is 99% Erythritol ("recommended as a natural pestiside"???). After doing some research looking for a product that actually had stevia extract I came across KAL Sure Stevia. I like the flavor much better than I do Truvia and I only need half the quantity to reach the desired sweetness (2 packets of Sure Stevia taste better than 4 packets of Truvia) I have this product on subscribe and save, and can't have coffee or tea without it. Give it a try.

I've tried pretty much all of the various sweetners and I like this one the best. It is very very sweet and works with both hot and cold beverages. I used to use a full packet of blue or pink stuff and 2 or more of the yellow in a cup of coffee or glass of tea - I use less than 1/2 packet. It disolves pretty well - you do have to stir in. It does not have that bitter taste unless you use too much - and even then it is not as bitter as with just stevia.

3.19.2018 Update Gave back one star. Ordered a single box a week ago, got the super sweet one again. Then ordered a single box again a few days after receiving that one, got one from the not very sweet batch (108111). I then decided to try their straight up Stevia Extract powder 3.5 oz size KAL Sure Stevia Extract Powder, 3.5 OZ. | Best-Tasting, Zero Calorie, Low Glycemic Sugar Substitute | 1820 Servings and discovered it tasted just fine also and is the 'extra sweet' portion of the these mixed Monk Fruit Stevia mix packets. So if you get a 'dud' less sweet batch supplement with the jar. The less sweet one are handy too though because they can be more readily used to sweeten things a bowl of fruit. 3.2.2018 had to take off two stars from my original review as I reordered and received a different "lot" (Lot Code # 108111 Use By 07/2020) and the new batch is about 3 to 7 times LESS sweet. So now, I have to use 2 to 7 packets per drink, instead of 1 packet for 2 to 3 drinks. I'm hoping this is a defective lot and that the first lot I received is more standard sweetness. So one star docked for lack of product quality control consistency. I took off a second star, because I feel a bit "bait and switched" here and ordered 3 boxes and returns are NOT accepted. So, that's a bummer. Flavor is still ok, but I'll go through these 3 boxes in the same amount of time I went through the first box I tried and that was great. I'll try ordering again when these boxes are gone and see if the quality improves back to where the 1st box was (Lot Code 170608 Use By 12/19). Feb 2018 I hate Stevia, having said that, I love these sweeteners! I also love Monk Fruit sweeteners, but they often are not very sweet. Had I not been doing the HCG diet, I never would have tried these. I'm very glad I did. These work great with the HCG diet as well. I have a super strong 'sweet tooth' ... the sweeter... the better. One packet can sweeten 2 to 3 drinks for me (when using monk fruit, I might use 6 packet for one coffee) and these Stevia/MF combo packets tastes (to me) like sugar. No disgusting metallic aftertaste like the Stevias I can't stand. Because I love this sweetener so much, I will continue to purchase and use as my main sweetener. I like it even better than the Monk Fruit sweetener I had been using and mixing with coconut sugar. This will save me a LOT of calories and money! Lastly, my 'junk food,' ice cream, sugar loving, 10 year old, likes it too. :) But, my mom who eats very healthy didn't like these, so 2 out of 3 not bad. . . I highly recommend this product especially if doing the HGC diet and you hate Stevia and love Monk Fruit. Its also an excellent sugar replacement for coffee and teas.
