I still don't know what I'm going to do with this, but it's super cool.
I really like toying around with these ESP32 devices, and this one is no exception. It's an awesome form factor, and there is even a whole infrastructure providing plug-in extras that work with it. Its little screen that also operates as a button is a really neat idea, and comes with a fun out-of-the-box test software. The only thing I haven't been able to find yet, is the original firmware. Before I go reprogramming this, I want to be able to restore it to its factory settings so I haven't actually tried to program it yet. Assuming I can find that, I'm thrilled with this as a new learning toy.

M5 ARE Great dev units.
I love to use the ATOM modules. I was able to get this overnight but the cost is much higher than ordering direct. Very compact and cased for testing solutions in the wild. Works great with Arduino IDE. I have tossed it around in bags and vehicles without it breaking screen or case.

Pretty Good
Great device, but I bought it specifically gor the MPU6886 gyro. The implementation of the MPU6886 in the current M5Stack unified library is not 100% great. I had much better luck using an alternative library.

Great ESP32
Awesome EPS32 for ESPHome devices. Using these to interface my Mitsubishi mini-splits to Home Assistant. Losing 1 star for crazy price for what should be a ~$15 device...

no battery
The other stack products have an integrated battery, but this one does not and that is not made clear. As such, it is useless for my planned project. I asked the company if there is a battery module available for purchase and my question was ignored. May be my last M5Stack purchase.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! What a wonderful toy!
Teeny little computer works just as promised. Just add the device and libraries in the Arduino IDE, plug the device into the USB, and LET THE FUN BEGIN!
