great shoes
This is my second pair of these shoes, the others lasted 4 years. Dr M. are the only shoe that allows me to stand on concrete for 12hrs. a day ad not have knee and foot pain. They are stiff and new right know, but should be broke-in in a week. I hope to get another 4 years out of these pair.

Wonderful, as always
Dr. Martens are my go-to dress shoes, and these Smiths were a replacement for my five year old 1461s whose soles had finally worn down to the point where they offered no traction. The Smiths have a very nice semi-gloss leather that has a understated style, and the lack of yellow stitching makes these appropriate for business dress. As with all Dr. Martens shoes, be aware that they'll be a bit stiff when you first get them; it takes a couple of weeks of regular wear for the leather to loosen up. Properly cared for, these shoes should offer several comfortable years of wear, making them well worth the price.

Perfect for a smart casual look
I bought them for my boyfriend for a job interview. They're not too elegant, but not as "grunge-looking" as normal DrMartens. They're perfect for a smart casual look. The quality is what you'd expect from a pair of DrMartens. My boyfriend's only complaint was that they're a little bit on the narrow side, thus a little painful until you break them in (which always happens within a reasonable amount of time). I had to buy them a little bit on a rush, but we new I knew it was a safe bet.

Uncomfortable and way too small
I am a fan of Dr. Martens for 23 years now. I owned dozens of Docs but this is the most uncomfortable shoe that I've ever had. For some reasons it's too tight. I should have size up. That's odd because I ordered a Made In England 1490 in the same size and that is absolutely perfect. I'm trying to break in the shoe and hoping for loosen a little. In the meantime I have three bruises on my feet.
