Impressed
I call it the Ferrari of toasters. This has been one of the best purchases of the year. Even toast, perfect fortoasring sourdough bread, naan bread or any rustic loaf thats bigger than the standard square slice. Looks the part as well, and you can see a timer of how long it'll take to toast (super useful)

Great toaster, looks sleek and functions well
Worth the price. A bit more function is really handy. The bagel setting only toasts one side which is really handy. It would have been cheaper to buy a normal four slice toaster, but I really like the increased bread capacity with this, means I can fit larger slices like sourdough without having to flip it half way resulting in a very dark middle and pale outsides. Looks very sleek and cool

It’s ok but nothing special
It looks ok but when it comes to toasting (artisan sourdough) it’s nothing special. True, a whole slice fits no problem, but it tends to over toast around the outside leaving the bread core underdone. And 2 slices of standard bread don’t fit side by side in a slot…the tops stick out and don’t get toasted. My old toaster did a better job but I had to cut slices in half. This does a whole slice without cutting but not terribly well. Over promises and under provides sadly. I will keep it. Would I buy it again?….no I don’t think so…mind you I couldn’t find anything better based upon reviews. Shame.

Amazing toaster
Brought this toaster with an open mind as I haven’t had much luck with previous toasters toasting unevenly, but I have to say this sage toaster is amazing does exactly what it says, if I ever had to buy another toaster I would definitely buy this again.

Had to return for replacement
Sadly toaster had multiple small dents on the front. Will return and order replacement. Disappointing given the price.

5 stars despite a minor niggle
My minor niggle is that the 'Crumpet' setting on this toaster - which I use for bagels - does heat the outer side more than my old toaster, so that is it very slightly toasted. I would prefer it just warmed but it's not a big a deal. (And hasn't stopped me toasting bagels!) On the plus side: it looks good and although wider than many 4 slice toasters, it's less deep, less bulky, and actually gives me more usable work surface. It produces a more evenly toasted surface than any toaster I've ever had before. Once you get it dialled in for various types & thicknesses of bread, which wasn't hard, it's a delight to use and very consistent. And I love the 'A bit more' function which is brilliant and very useful.

Sage definitely one to buy
I had to buy a new toaster, had my last one for years which also was a sage but automatic but had been discontinued, this model was the next one down so I suppose I will have to use the lever to get my toast toasted. However it’s still a good make and makes brilliant toast for all my family

This is NOT a “cool touch” toaster. The sides get hot.
Bought this because I was unable to find any 2 slice toaster that accepts Warburtons Toastie or other large loaves. This toaster, having two double-length slots, does take over-sized bread. It has lots of pretty lights when in operation and it is easy to use and easy to clean. It does have 2 faults though:- Firstly if you only want to cook one slice of toast, you can’t heat only one slot at a time, you have to have both turned on together. Secondly, the exterior walls of the toaster get hot. It is NOT a “cool touch” toaster. However, it does toast bread more evenly and more reliably than any other toaster I have used in the last 40 years! And I guess you can’t have everything.

it doesn’t toast the bread evenly. the crust will be burnt before the crumb getting any color! i had another toaster that does much better for a fraction of the price.

Great toaster - I don’t understand negative reviews. Had it a few weeks now and very happy with it, toasts evenly, fitting two slice in each slot. I’d definitely recommend.

Returned it the day it arrived as it was faulty. A number of the heating elements inside the toaster were not heating up, resulting in unevenly toasted bread. Very annoying and shocking quality control for such an expensive product.
