This Jar Open does the job very well. My only complaint is that it TAKES FOREVER to open each jar.

This gadget gets the job done. Not able to open jars and such like I use to. Buy this if you have same problem. Seems to open the toughest jar. And now, I no longer get the wife yelling to open a jar. She can use this to open it herself. Worth the price right there.

I bought this because of a few stubborn lids that even hot water didn't get loose. I installed 2 AA batteries and put it on the quart regular mouth mason jar and held the start button 3 seconds as per instructions. It was great, after clamping down on the lid the rubber foot slipped and tried to tighten further denting the lid. There's no stop button or emergency release so I just watched it do its thing. After it was done both of the rubber pads for the lid had cracks in them. I ran it again and one of the bottom feet snapped off. I popped it back on and tried again. Now both of the lid clamps are split and the foots popped off and the jar is still closed. Jar #2 it actually opened. I tried it on my other stuck lid and the thing clamped down and literally twisted itself in two with one of the lower clamps breaking completely off and by this time I'm loving it. That thing tried its best and if it couldn't get those lids off they really were stuck. I will say that it got both of those lids loose enough while breaking itself that I was able to open them by hand. Since jar #1 was pure essential oil of Sandalwood it was worth the time to buy, watch it break itself and returning it. There's no safety features and no stop button or release. If this got stuck on a wrist it would be bad. Cheap plastic and a strong motor. I'll try to add photos after I upload them.

This makes easy work of opening a multitude of different sized jar lids.Simply add 2 AA batteries (not included) and then position it over the lid and bring the side clamps in.Press the button on the top and keep hold of the JAR (not the lid) as the opener will rotate the arms around and unscrew the lid.Works well. A bit bulky but that is b/c it has a large, strong motor.Very pleased

Purchased this for my grandparents so they can open jars and items. It gives them a new since of independence that they enjoy. This is the second one they have owned because the first stopped working. The price is cheap enough though that it wasn’t a deal breaker for us.

This may not be the quietest machine but it certainly works. We do some pressure canning and that results in bottles that are often hard to open, this is an easy, hands free method of opening home processed jars. Commercial jars such as pickles are easily opened. Just place the opener on top of the jar, push the button and watch, it is that easy.

I am very happy with this jar opener !I don’t have to hurt my hands or wrists any more with this handy tool.I bought a few extras for gifts, and the ladies are very happy !

I had to buy more for my family members as I was quite impressed by how well it worked. 4 stars because there are large jars that this could not fit.

I gifted this to my Aunt that has arthritis and other issues that affect her hands/grip. We tried it with a jar of home made sauce. As suspected, it did not work. Outer grips just slipped off. Tried again after heating and knocking the lid to help loosen it but no luck. Then I tried it on a jar of olives I bought from Costco. Still did not open the jar. I tried to open that jar by hand and it was easy. I do not recommend this product. Too good to be true. My Aunt had such high hopes.
