Poolife NST Tablets (10 lb)

Residue Ruined Pebble Tec Pool SurfaceI bought Poolife NST Tablets back on March 23, 2019 looking for a stabilizer free chlorine solution. I used it for a month and outside of its slimy consistency when it was wet, it seemed to be working fine as far as chlorine levels. Unfortunately at the time there were no negative reviews. I left for travel in Europe for three months and a had a house sitter minding the pool. When I got back this week (August 20, 2019) I was shocked to find everything in my pool was covered in a residue that adhered to my flawless Pebble Tec pool surface. My pop up cleaner heads (some are stuck open and some won't open because of the residue) and every surface in my pool has this residue on it. It gummed up my skimmer basket too. I have had swimming pools for decades and have never had any pool product ruin my pool. My Pebble Tec pool finish is now marbled with this light color residue that I cannot remove with a stainless steel brush (see attached photos). These photos have not been retouched and there are no reflections, that is the mess I am left with this product. There are no warnings on the container about using with Pebble Tec pools. To say I am disappointed in an understatement. Do not buy these Poolife NST Tablets. I don't even know how to repair my pool.

Like others, the cyanuric acid levels get crazy by midsummer. It causes itchy skin and leeches into the plaster. I did a partial drain (about 1/2), and after about a week the CYA levels were almost as high as before. I've tried several CYA-free products, but this one has worked best. (Granulars never seem to last but a few days.) I'm surprised at the reports of an unpleasant residue. I've been using this a month, and haven't seen that problem. I'll report back if that comes up. But so far, my water feels great, and looks crystal clear. The tablets last about 1-1/2 weeks. I use skimmer socks, so skimmer application is not reasonable here; I use the chlorinator dispenser from our trichlor 3" tablets, set low, and so far works fine.

Have used for 3 weeks and it has eaten through myskimmer basket nylon net and now my plastic skimmer basket, any thoughts? Pool chemical levels are correct, worried about pump and filter at this point.

These have NO cyunaric acid stabilizer in them, This is good, because the cyunaric acid stabilized in the regular tablets destroys the plaster in pools. About half the weight of regular chlorine tablets is cyurnaic acid and this can quickly raise the levels of that to overload conditions. These tablets eliminate that concern. Glad I found these things.

I use 3 tablets per week and 3 shocks in our 30,000 gallon pool. Our water is so clear and beautiful!

Other tablets add cyanuric acid that can build up to the point the pool has to be drained and re-filled to get rid of it. These do not. Price is better than I found anywhere else. they dissolve slowly. Last about a week.

I’ve tried so many pool chemicals but these seem to work the best in keeping my pool clear & in balance. I have well water so that’s definitely a challenge. A bit pricey but 1 tablet will easily last a week in my pool with great results. Will definitely buy again!

These will drive your PH out of range every week. They do not dissolve well. If you are using this in response to high CYA Readings but extra muriatic acid to lower the PH after use.
