Really impressed!
Amazing piece of kit! We home school and the children use steadtler pencils for their work so we get through a lot. My parents had told me about a little tin holder they were given at work in the 1950's by their boss, where in those times of austerity, they would have to prove their pencil had been used to its maximum before they would be allowed a new one! I wasn't expecting to find anything like it but did. The first one I looked at had mixed reviews, people saying the pencil slipped out or wobbled in the casing. So I decided to go for this one being as it is Staedtler pencils we use. It is a bit pricey and took a while to get here from Japan but it is really good quality and works brilliantly. We now have our first teeny tiny pencil! Have just measured it and my daughter has managed to get it down to 2cm!!! I belong to a small local charity with a school in Africa and I will be taking a few out there for the head teacher to keep as it would help them such a lot. Pity they are not more readily available but sadly, here in the west, we live in such a throwaway society. Would definitely recommend it.

Quality pencil holder
I thought my Blackwing pencil extender was pricey, but some stores are selling the Staedtler 900 25 for £30, so to find it on Amazon for less than £20 was a bargain! It's beautifully made and comes with a clip (removed straight away to preserve the clean lines of the holder) and an eraser (which won't ever get used) but if you use both of those then it's a nice touch. The holder will accommodate most pencils, although I found some of my Stabilo pencils were slightly loose, but wrapping a bit of electricians tape around them before tightening it up solved that problem instantly!

Best extender out there
Iv'e been reading a lot of bad reviews on this pencil extender, some say it won't fit all makes of pencils, and that they had to use tape to hold the pencil in...Well that is a load of rubbish. I have trie Cretacolor, Faber Castell 9000, and Staedtler Mars. They all fit like a glove with no tape needed at all. It also takes Polycromos coloured pencils, So I don't know what pencils some of tese people have tried. I will say the cost of this extender is way over the top, but still not as dear as some art shops are selling it. Had this been a little cheaper I would have bought 4 or 5. If you want a good pencil extender, then this is the one to go for, as it helps you control your pencil lead by using the clip to tell you how sharp your lead has become with using it. Buy it, You won't be disapointed.

Good pencil extender
This pencil extender is very easy to hold but some of my pencils unfortunately didn't fit. I recommend to buy this if you have a bit thicker pencils. It was worth the money although I think it could of been lower as it is very expensive.

Pencil extender
Bit expensive for what it is but it is well made and makes use of those pencil stubs that would end up in the bin. All said and done I would recommend it to anyone who does a lot of sketching or doodling.

it is utterly useless, and is wonderful at it
it is utterly useless, and is wonderful at it. It's a must have item for any stationery enthusiast. Looks very neat, you can fiddle around with it, and is of high quality. Something that becomes very obvious only when you hold it in your hand is that this is for pencils that are more than halfway used. Keep that in mind.

NOT CHEAP BUT VERY WELL MADE
A quality item, it isn't cheap but still represents good value for money and, taking into account the price of good pencils, should easily pay for itself in time.
