So Cool!
I love this little thing. It really is a tiny planetarium. It projects well on the ceiling. It doesn't fill a normal room size, but is large enough that you can make out the stars. The color is blue because of the light they use, but it is a good view. I love that you can switch back and forth between the stars alone and the constellations. The whole thing rotates or stands still. Overall a great little fun project for not a lot of money! I love it!

Small size & awesome
I recently purchased the Dark Skys pocket planetarium. A few years ago, I read about the DS-1, and thought it was an amazing item. My main room has 11 foot high ceiling and the room is about 20 feet x 17 feet. The ceiling is an opportunity to do amazing displays (at night!). The 3-D viewing of all the stars is lovely. It gives it a dynamic depth. My suggestions after using it in several rooms now are: 1. I wish we could change the speed - faster or slower. But it’s still amazing to use. 2. The laser color - here you are probably limited by technology...but if it could be white (or multicolored like the real Milky Way, wow! But this might not be possible) it might be easier. I don't know if they make a white laser. 3. I like the ability to add the constellations - and depending on how I turn that dial, the overlay can be brighter or more subtle. 4. Dark Skys is 'no focus' and made for a flat surface. That's a huge plus. I didn't understand what the 'no focus' meant, until I used it in my living room, bedroom (8.5 foot ceilings), and family room 9 foot ceilings). It's pretty awesome! On Amazon I also bought a knock off of the SEGA Homestar. The original Homestar has the shooting star feature which is cool (but I've only seen it in YouTube videos). The knockoff has changeable discs, which are nice touch, but your Skyview is light years ahead as far as the amount and depth of stars, etc. It's a well designed piece of equipment. Also, the focusing is never 100% to my liking on my 11 foot or other ceilings. I'm returning my Sega knock off! I'll save my coins for the DS-1!

Worked one time then broke.
Worked one time. What a shame. I liked it when it worked the first time.

Great realistic night sky
It's great having a portable projector that shows the actual night sky. Having the options of constellation overlay is really nice to toggle on and off.

Coolest little gadget I’ve ever owned!
I just love this thing. It was affordable and for the price, it’s totally worth it. It’s small and light so I can pack it and it’s so comforting to have it to just look at the beautiful display of our galaxy. I had it up and running in under 5 minutes and I used it in my bathroom daytime with the curtains drawn and it was a delightful display. It made my week to get this. My only dislikes are that the adjustable stand seems very flimsy and the device won’t stay put on all the levels of the stand, so one could accidentally allow it to get knocked over and break. Also, the instructions are very limited and should give more info on charging, such as: how long should the battery last, how long will it take to charge, and is it allowed in carry on or checked airline luggage. I also kind of wish the rotation was on the real time speed of the Earth’s rotation. But that’s probably a very advanced feature, idk. But again, for the price, it’s a delight!

Pocket size- portable
What caught my eye on this little projector was it’s ability to show stars and then constellations by rotating the outer ring. It’s super convenient as it is portable which makes it fun to take around and show my friends. The stars are a deep blue, it would be nice if their next version had white stars, but it’s still pretty cool.

Fun and relaxing
This makes for a fun experience, just sitting and looking at “the stars”. Not sure how accurate it is, but we find it a meditative way to wind down at night.
