Very compact, but exceptionally high-powered!
These are equipped with the older ESP32 WROOM modules, so they don't have quite the speed, storage, or RAM that the newer S3 generations do, but they are more than adequate for robot controller applications, and for the brave, they will run microros. The board has a very compact footprint, and is very convenient if all you need is serial bus servo control.IMPORTANT!!!* Serial bus servo protocols ARE NOT STANDARD!!* You MUST USE WAVESHARE SERVOS with this WAVESHARE CONTROLLER unless you re-flash this board!!...You can only use other servos with this board if you re-flash it with SBS code after REFACTORING FROM THE ALTERNATE SERVO MANUFACTURER...But then...* The 3 POWER AND SIGNAL WIRES MAY BE DIFFERENT compared to other serial bus servos!!!I have done this with no problems, but you should be aware, for example, that a "Waveshare Serial Bus Controller" will not work with a "Hiwonder Serial Bus Servo" out of the box; nor vice-versa.And no, Dynamixel servos are not compatible either.

I really wanted to like this motor but keeps bricking
the serial bus servo driver looks and operates nicely. For the first few hrs atleast … i have bought multiple of these servos and each one has had the same issue they will randomly and irreversibly brick … same id but will no longer perform any tasks and cant be controlled .. major waste of $300

Junk..
Got this, set it up (Used many in the past) and saw it connect and read. minute I pushed code to it. Dead. Wont read anything plugged in. Now it is a paper weight. Got another ESP32 from another brand and works fine.
