We recently played "One Night Werewolf" as a family of four, and it was an absolute blast! Some were skeptical at first but after a couple of rounds, everyone was hooked and we were entertained for hours.The rules are easy to understand, making it accessible for everyone, and the suspense of trying to figure out who the werewolves are had us all on the edge of our seats with uncontrollable laughter.If you're looking for a fun, quick, interactive game that brings the family together, I would highly recommend "One Night Werewolf." It's perfect for game nights and guarantees lots of laughs!

Love this game! The app made it so much easier to manage! Almost every party we go to with our friend group ends up with a round or two of Midnight werewolf. Even for my family in on it.

First ~ you can play this game (and others like it) without the contents of this set. However, the cards and tokens are thick and beautifully illustrated. They add a lot to the enjoyment of the game. The app that goes with this line of games is a great idea. It allows all players to participate, instead of one needing to sit out the round, to “wake” and instruct the different characters. There are other versions of ONUW: Ultimate, One Week, Expanded, etc. For us, this is the best version. 4 to 7 of us can play several quick rounds and, unlike the other versions, no one is ever eliminated from play. it’s always fun and never the same game. Some precocious preteens will quickly catch on and do well, but it seems more geared toward teens to adults. Love it!

Easy to learn, easy to teach, and a ton of fun! I purchased this for a dinner party I was hosting and my friends and I had a blast playing! Some feelings may have gotten hurt, there were more than a few raised voices and everyone laughed a lot. For me, that makes for the perfect dinner party! If you enjoy games of deduction, buy this game. It's a classic for a reason.

Let's just put it this way. When my family first received ONUW on Christmas morning 2019, we opened the box and read the instructions around 4pm, then stayed up until 2 in the morning playing it. Throughout the following week, we played for probably 6 hours every single night. We've since had 4 years of fun and unforgettable memories. We cannot get enough of it.I simply think it is the best game ever invented--the ultimate strategy, deduction, lying, manipulation, and hilarious extravaganza. I absolutely love the app--so that everyone can play and no one has to be a narrator. I truly admire the inclusion aspect--that everyone can have a unique role and task to play (no one has to be a plain, old villager). And I think the fact that it is just one night is frankly genius. It makes it so much faster to play rounds (as opposed to other mafia-style games) and puts less pressure on being a werewolf. I have friends who won't play other social deduction and bluffing games because it stresses them too greatly, but they will play ONUW because the rounds are so short and, of course, there's always the possibility that their card can be swapped! I think it's just brilliant. Every round is different. Every round calls for a new strategy. We can play hundreds of times because there are millions of possibilities for how the game can go! We've bought all the expansion packs, and we truly enjoy trying all the different combinations we can. I play a lot of games, but this one is by far my favorite. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

However, as someone who is uncomfortable with lying, I found it challenging to navigate the game in certain situations.As a self-professed bad liar and diagnosed neurodivergent individual, I discovered that it was easier for me to embrace the role of one of the "bad guys" since my natural tendency to act suspicious worked to my advantage. The Tanner became my favorite character to play, and I relished the sweet victory of winning the entire game while embodying this deceptive role.On a subsequent playthrough with a smaller group, with experienced players consisting only of my spouse and me, the lack of familiarity with the game posed difficulties. Being averse to lying, my go-to strategy of remaining silent became ineffective. The new players required instruction and examples, leaving me struggling and feeling self-conscious and uncomfortable.Additionally, the game's learning curve can be steep due to the numerous characters with specific roles that need to be remembered. This complexity can initially overwhelm players and may require some patience and practice to fully grasp.In terms of quality and durability, One Night Ultimate Werewolf is commendable. The components are sturdy, ensuring the game will withstand numerous playthroughs. The design and aesthetics are visually appealing, immersing players in the game's atmosphere and enhancing the overall experience.It is important to note that One Night Ultimate Werewolf may not be suitable for people who are uncomfortable with lying or find it challenging.
