Great filament for skulls and skeletons
I found a 3D model for an interesting skull so naturally I wanted to print it out. A small test print with white filament came out great but the color just wasn't right. Does anyone make a bone-colored PLA filament? Of course they do. I'm not the first weirdo to 3D print a skull after all. A minute of searching brought up this spool from eSUN, and after a few clicks, it was on its way to me. I've used eSUN PLA before and, while I prefer Elegoo by a very narrow margin, eSUN has given me good results. I was a little worried because the skull I was printing would have to be done in 2 parts (skull and mandible), and the main part was a 23 hour print. Plenty of time for something to go wrong. Bambu has a preset for eSUN PLA+ so that's what I used. After slicing, loading the spool, and hitting the print button, I crossed my fingers and walked away. I checked on it again in the morning (12 hours later) and so far everything looked good. Layer lines were visible but not too prominent. Since I was using a 0.4mm nozzle, I didn't expect the lines to disappear. There was a slight gloss to the print. I would have preferred a matte finish to simulate bone porosity, but since I didn't specify a matte filament, I was neither surprised nor disappointed. At the end of 23 hours, the skull was waiting on the build plate. It looked exceptional, without so much as a stray filament, void, or other defect that I could see. The support material (there was quite a bit of it) broke away without much fuss and I was left with something that, from a few feet away, could pass for a skull. Adhesion was just right. The part never shifted during the print but was relatively easy to remove from the build plate once everything had cooled. I did use a little hairspray as an adhesion promoter-- I wasn't taking any chances-- but I doubt that I actually needed it. The mandible was a much easier print (only about 6 hours) and it came off without a hitch. After years of dealing with finicky 3D printers and filaments that would only print correctly about half the time, I was floored that I could walk away for an entire day without looking over my shoulder once and come back to a completed print. I usually pay $10-$12 a spool for garden variety PLA. This spool was slightly pricier at $18, but it is a specialty filament and the price is quite reasonable for the quality and appearance that you get. I can't think of a single bad thing to say about this filament. It worked flawlessly for this project.

Good high quality filament!
Very smooth filament, prints great and I love the color. No issues with the spooling and tangles and it prints great with my tuned PLA settings!

Affordable, reliable, and consistent for functional parts.
eSUN PLA+ has become my go-to filament for most of my prints. I mainly design functional parts for use in tooling and fixtures and have never had any problem with the structural integrity or dimensional accuracy of this PLA+. I have run through dozens of rolls of black, grey, and fire engine red with no issues. I don't follow any strict climate control processes or store the rolls in any particular way. I try to remember to remove the filament from the AMS gearing when I don't plan to be printing for a little while, which I believe is a good practice. I always check the end of the filament for brittle arears before loading into the AMS and snap off the end by hand until I run into the first part of the filament where it just bends back and forth in my fingers. That's typically just an inch or two from the previous end of the filament and I never have any issues following this process. I'm more concerned with accurate prints that have great layer adhesion, so I don't typically print for speed, but I have no reason to believe that this filament could not be pushed to limits that I have not tested. Affordable, reliable, and consistent - I count on eSUN PLA+ to get the job done.

Reliable, Vibrant, and Smooth – Perfect for High-Quality Prints
I’ve used eSUN PLA+ for several projects now, and it consistently delivers excellent results. The Pine Green color in particular is stunning—deep, rich, and professional-looking without being overly glossy or flashy. Why I Love It: Prints Like a Dream: This PLA+ flows smoothly with no clogging or stringing. It adheres well to the bed (I use a glass plate) and layers bond cleanly for sharp, strong prints. Durable and Tough: Unlike regular PLA, this PLA+ has a bit of flex and doesn’t snap easily. It’s perfect for functional parts that need strength but don’t require ABS. Excellent Dimensional Accuracy: My prints came out to spec with zero warping or layer shift. The advertised ±0.03mm tolerance seems legit. No Weird Smells: While not completely odorless, this filament emits a very mild, inoffensive smell—definitely better than ABS or PETG in my experience. Consistent Roll: The filament is neatly wound and tangle-free. I’ve gone through nearly the whole spool without a single feeding issue. Minor Considerations: Requires a Bit Higher Temp Than Regular PLA: I print this at 210°C nozzle / 60°C bed, and it works perfectly. Just don’t assume it’ll behave like standard PLA at 190°C. Color Can Look Dark Indoors: The Pine Green is a beautiful shade, but depending on lighting it may appear almost forest green. Still elegant, just not neon bright. Final Verdict: If you’re looking for high-quality PLA+ that balances strength, reliability, and aesthetics, eSUN delivers. The Pine Green color is perfect for nature-themed prints, miniatures, cosplay props, and durable parts. I’ll definitely be buying more.

High quality worth the extra price
So far the best pla I’ve bought. Decided to try a brand that was directly supported by bambu and thought what’s a few more dollars for plus if I have less failures. First benchy already can tell the build just looks better has a shine to it almost and just better quality and experience from the get go. The red is a rich rich color and couldn’t be happier with it. Definitely worth the increase in price, don’t cheap out you save money in the long wrong not having repeat failures and spaghetti. I will definitely be replacing my other filaments with this brand and plus where available! Note: this is the first time I’ve ever been able to clearly read the benchy text on the bottom.

The product itself is sound. It is the cheapest PLA filament I have ever bought. One downside is that it won’t fit in my A1 AMS, but it makes it all so much more affordable. One thing that bothers me though is the delivery, it was left in the elevator of our apartment complex without telling me a word about it. As I live on the first inhabited floor, I never take the elevator. I talked to neighbours and called customer support. I thought it got stolen because a big amazon package could be something pricy. Eventually before I went to sleep, a neighbour rang the doorbell, he told me that a package to my name was in the elevator. It is very inconvenient to have it delivered like this and not have any information about its location. All I knew is that it got marked as delivered. My delivery instructions also state that I want it left in front of my door if delivery fails, not in the elevator..

Works a little bit less good than bambu lab pla but that is expected with the a1 mini. Is cheap for it's quality!
