Virbac REBOUND® Recuperation Formula for Cats - Promotes the restoration of healthy digestion, hydration, and nutrition

This solution is such an amazing product. One of my cats is quite old and has really bad IBS. Recently we had such a bad flare up and I couldn’t get him to eat anything or keep anything down. He has done well with this once before, unlike a lot of the other Recovery liquids available, so I figured I’d try it again. I can’t say it was specifically this that made him better because he has had a lot of medication from the vet recently to help him as well, but this stuff got him to eat and kept it down! He loves the smell and taste of it, and he is a very picky cat. He went from practically nothing to at least a little wet food with this mixed in. Now he is eating more than I have ever seen and finally gaining weight (it’s been a struggle to keep him from losing weight no matter how much or what kind of food I have available). He also has so much more energy than he has had for a very long time, which could be the medicine again, but I think it is mostly that he is getting enough calories finally. Now, it is quite expensive, and even when giving a full dose a day it goes bad before I can use it all, usually about 5 days in, and he will no longer touch it. My solution has been to put it into ice trays, one dose per ice cube, right when I open the bottle. I’ll be using this a little while longer until I’m sure he can keep food down, and then maybe in smaller portions for a while to keep his appetite up until (fingers crossed) he gets back to a healthy weight.

This stuff works GREAT and the cat loves the taste. We took in an old cat and basically set up a room as a hospice for her. The cat was very dehydrated and would not drink water. We found she would drink goats milk and we mixed some of the Virbac REBOUND into the goats milk. In just one week she is up an running about and purring. She like the taste of the goats milk more when we add it. She has put on weight but has a way to go. But I highly recommend this product..

Please do not sleep on this item. I am a firm believer that it is helping keep my cat alive while he regains his appetite. For background, I have a soon to be 13 year old cat who underwent six partial crown amputations on six of his teeth. The cause was resorption. As we all know, cats hide pain very well and before I knew it, my 22 lb cat was down to 15 lbs and not eating. I was desperate for anything in liquid form that I could feed him via syringe to help give his body some sort of nutrients as he struggled to drink water and eat wet food. I’m halfway through the bottle and noticed that the hair on his leg that was shaved from a blood draw in Jan is now growing back very rapidly this week. That tells me his body is getting enough for regrow hair. If you have a cat in the same situation, PLEASE order this. 10/10 stars. My cat purrs now when he gets it 🥹

I forgot I had purchased this. I bought it because my elderly kitty was going downhill fast. She wasn't eating enough, and I wanted to add something to her food that would possibly provide her more nutrition. It really helped her in terms of feeling more comfortable and satisfied, which made me feel better. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Short shelf life, though. This worked so well for my kitty. She actually licked it straight up in her dish. She wasn't eating anything else so I was so happy she licked this if it was not mixed with her food. Then after a couple of days she started eating food again and feeling like herself. I highly recommend it! Works wonders and so fast I got saved a trip to the vet. If she would have gone longer without eating I would have taken her, but no need because this alone was the cure for her. Her vomit and diarrhea stopped completely as well.

I have never been happier with a product in my life! I have a 10 year old scottish fold munchkin that I swear was knocking on Death's door! She's always been slim and small, she's a munchkin! But I started to notice she was really boney and super lethargic. I went through something similar with her a couple years ago, went to the vet and had $500+ worth of blood and urine test done for everything to just come back normal. I switched her to wet food only and supplements, all seemed well up until about a month ago. She not only got really skinny this time but she also became very lethargic and started to refuse food. When she would eat, she would just throw it up. She wasn't drinking any water and I have a water fountain that she's always loved. She wasn't using the litter box either. So i knew something was terribly wrong. Her nose was dry, her eyes were dry and crusty. I noticed she had no life behind her big blue eyes. She was all squinty and lifeless. She jus laid beside me hunched over. I found this product and figured I'd give it a try. I was worried she wouldn't eat it and I'd have to hand feed her, but she absolutely loved this stuff. She only weighed 3lbs, so I was giving her 1teaspoon/day to start, but near the end of the week, I was giving her 2teaspoons/day. She came back to life! She wanted all the treats. Food, water and snuggles. She was excited about feeding time again. Drinking water like crazy and using the litter box regularly again! The bottle was nowhere near empty, and since they said it was only good for 7 days, I portioned out single teaspoons into an ice cube tray, froze it and put it in a ziplock for the future. She's now eating like a horse, drinking tonnes of water and using the litter box at least two times a day. She's back to her normal self. Helped my dearest Loki gain a bit of energy and therefor normality, in his final few weeks with me. Expensive, but worth every penny.

To help other people reading through the reviews: I’m in Canada and received this product through Amazon prime without issue. Purchased August 2025, expiry is December 2027. My cat has many of the same issues others have listed here, basically the death spiral where they won’t eat, won’t drink and in and out of the vet/emergency three times now with subQ fluids. She is on appetite stimulants and pain medication yet this is safe to take with both which is great. The vet recommended it and I’m so glad they did. This product worked for us and she drank/ate it without any issue. I just called it a treat and I guess it tastes good enough to her (she’s picky so this is saying a lot). This really helped my cat recover and get to a place where she can eat on her own. I’m not sure about using it long term but for a few days/ a week I’ve used it without issue.

I desperately ordered this product as my cat wasn't eating. To my horror it arrived and it was over a week out of date!!! Surely this is the basics of quality control??

My cat began a death spiral and wouldn't eat/drink - pacreatitis, jaundice, overall bloodwork was 'dying'. Unless I could get him eating/drinking asap (note this was after 24hr IV fluids and antibiotics) or further intervention (stomach tube etc), he would die. We don't have a 24/7 vet in my town, so the vet sent me home on Friday with subcutaneous fluids to keep him hydrated while I tried to get him to eat again (syringe feeding him in the meantime). I bought Rebound as a last ditch effort to get him to eat on his own. Literally right after giving him about 5ml of Rebound, he went to his food bowl and start nosing around. Didn't eat right away, but his interest came back. I never needed the full dose, just gave him a little bit with syringe feedings and by the end of the weekend he was eating on his own (and had ZERO interest in syringe feedings, which he did NOT like). Took him off subcutaneous fluids Monday and he went back to drinking. Tuesday appt with Vet -- Vet was floored by the turn around (almost everything normal again). Three weeks later, it's like he was never sick.
