It legit works
I have a dog who spends a lot of time in the yard so I've been looking for a mosquito repellent that is effective while also non-toxic to dogs. I was cautiously optimistic about trying Wondercide as it is DEET-free and "natural", and did not expect it to be super effective. But ever since I started using it two summers ago, I have become a repeat customer. First off, it is very easy to use. Just attach the bottle to a garden hose, turn the knob, and spray. The pressure is strong and even, and it takes 15-20 minutes to cover a typical yard. The treated area is safe to use as soon as it dries, usually within a few hours. Most importantly, it works. No, it's not as effective as DEET-based products, and it will not get rid of all mosquitoes, but it reliably reduces bites by 70-80% in my yard and the effects last a solid 4 weeks. For a DEET-free product, it's genuinely impressive. After two years of use and many repurchases, here are my pro tips to getting the best results: 1) Cut your grass first. 2) When first establishing control, spray twice within 2-4 days to knock out both adult mosquitoes and any larvae that hatch from the remaining eggs. 3) Spray your patio, fence, walking paths, and outdoor furniture. The bottle says it's safe on outdoor fabric, but I recommend patch testing. 4) Avoid applying in the morning and during the heat of the day. Spray in the evening to prevent sunburn on your plants and lawn, and to allow time for the product to dry properly. 5) Since Wondercide is an alternative to longer-lasting pesticides, you will need to reapply more frequently throughout the season and after heavy rain. After the first double-spray, I typically reapply once every 4 weeks to maintain control.

Safe and Effective
I have used this product around our home in Alaska where the mosquitoes can be quite bad. It effectively keeps bugs away, smells good, and is safe to use around children and pets. Highly recommend.

Pleasantly Surprised by Effectiveness
I am using this product in Florida for Mosquito control. After three weeks of using this product just in my backyard, I have noticed a significant difference. My backyard is almost completely mosquito free. My front yard is untreated (for experimentation purposes of trying this product) and as soon as I cross the border from my back yard to my front yard, I get swarmed with mosquitoes. In the backyard, I don't have to wear a mosquito cover to do yard activities. In the front yard, I do have to wear a mosquito cover. That's how bad it is here. So that's my confirmation that this product is working. Pros: - Seems completely safe for our wildlife and our dogs. - Smells wonderful. - Easy to apply to the yard. - Instantly effective in helping to reduce the mosquito population on our property. - The wasps, bees, and dragonflies fly around and stay in the yard unharmed. Even right after spraying. Cons: - Becomes completely ineffective after a rain. So plan to respray your yard as soon as the weather dries up. - Does not seem to really "kill" the mosquitoes. Instead it seems to be an effective repellent against mosquitoes. After I spray, the mosquitoes visibly hover/swarm over our property just above the tallest point that I sprayed (I spray up into the bushes and trees). They attempt to land, but don't because of the spray. After a while, the mosquitoes just disappear off of our property. - You must use this in conjunction with other mosquito control products. This spray is effective, but if you want an almost mosquito-free yard, you need to include using mosquito traps on the perimeter of your property and mosquito BTI pellets for any fountains and potted plants to kill the larvae. Using all three methods is how we were able to attain an almost mosquito-free backyard. I don't have a problem with either fleas or ticks. So I cannot attest to whether this product works for that or not. I also realized that this product is most effective when you do the following: - Wait until your yard is completely dry from any rain or sprinklers. - Mow the grass and trim bushes first. - Apply the spray and include saturating all of the bushes and trees (our mosquitoes live in the branches of the trees and bushes here as well as in thick grass and mulch. - Refrain from watering your yard for at least 24 hours to let the repellent do it's work - Lightly water your lawn on the following days, but expect to reapply if you tend to saturate your yard when watering. I am removing one star due to the price. Because it is so easily washed off from the yard after a rain or good sprinkler soak, this can get expensive to use regularly during our Mosquito Season. I have a lot of trees and bushes in the backyard, so it takes one container just to cover everything in my backyard alone. I would need a second container to cover the front yard. I live on .3 acres.

Easy to use
Seems to be working pretty well so far. Pretty good coverage for my yard before the chemical ran out. I will review again after some time. Doesn’t really help with flying bugs though. With Gnats it did pretty okay just no other flying insects. I have outside cats and that was my main concern. They are all okay after being in the grass so I’d say that’s awesome!

Works and safe
On my second season of use. Works great on no-see-ums, and pretty decent on gnats. Helps prevents fleas on the dogs. Haven't seen any negative effects on the wild birds. Don't apply if there's rain in the forecast.

My Backyard Smells Like a Spa. My Dog Smells Like Skunk.
Bought this to keep my yard pest-free, thinking it was a safe and effective alternative to harsher treatments. Spoiler alert: it didn’t repel anything. Not only did I still see insects, but my dog was sprayed by a skunk less than 24 hours after application. I’m aware skunks aren’t listed specifically, but when a product markets itself as outdoor pest control that treats everything from mosquitoes to ‘no-see-ums’, it’s fair to expect at least some deterrence of larger backyard invaders. Instead, I got a $40 bottle of cedar-scented disappointment. Save your money this is overpriced aromatherapy for your grass
