It requires 3x AA batteries, you will need a small screwdriver to remove the battery case at the bottom of the toy. Then simply flick the on/off switch next to the battery compartment and the toy will immediately begin to move and play popular nursery rhymes. Old Macdonald had a Farm was the first one we heard. And it was quite a fun tune with lots of different animal verses. I like this aspect for learning nursery rhymes. The dinosaur does have quite a boisterous ‘dance’, but it’s funny. The dinosaur itself looks effective and cute and has a soft material to touch. It stands at about 30cm and is light and robust enough for a small child to carry. There is also the option to record your own voice and noises onto the toy which is a funny effect and has got lots of laughter! There is a small, stitched picture of a microphone on the left foot, and you press and hold this to enable the recording mode. It’s a great interactive toy, encouraging lots of laughter and baby babble/speech. The quality is good, and it’s priced just right the type of product this is.

My grandson will not put this toy down, it's become a favourite with lots of fun, well-made quality toy, possibly would be better if it had motion detection for the price.

The media could not be loaded.  I very nearly downgraded the rating for this, since it comes with neither batteries nor a screwdriver to open the battery compartment. But, since I was in a Can Do mood, I secured both items and got things set up.And, well. This is the most gloriously wierd thing I've seen for a while.The neck and head spin like Linda Blair, while spouting chirpy childrens tunes (which can be changed by poking at the lower right paw). But the true fun comes from poking at the left paw, which triggers a microphone setting, and causes the dino to repeat a truncated version of whatever you said, pitch-shifted to a helium level of comedy.And that makes it all worthwhile...

The dino is cute but very loud and can’t adjust the volume. The recording is 5-6 seconds only and plays it back with normal voice.

It has a plastic base that is flat, which allows it to sit on flat surfaces. Runs on 3 AA batteries which are not included. There is a simple slider switch underneath that turns it on and off. Once turned on, it begins to sing, and the neck and head rotate from left to right. He has a small problem, he doesn't react all the time when you talk to him or make sounds. As he repeats what you said, the neck rotates, only in one direction. It looks like an interesting and fun toy for kids, but it seems a bit expensive to me.

My son loves this and we have shared many laughs with it.

Wenn man neben der Figur noch ein bisschen mitsingt oder klatscht bleibt unsere Maus bestimmt schon immer eine halbe Stunde auf dem Bauch liegen. Leider ist der Dino auf Englisch, das habe ich bei der Bestellung nicht beachtet, aber es sind Lieder die man kennt. Daher volle 5 Sterne!
