When I first opened it I thought it looked pretty cheap but once I put the brush on the handle it worked really well

We like this. The bristles are hard enough for a good scratch and flexible enough to not bruise you.We really wish the handle was longer. A let down that you can't scratch your own back if you're not flexible or short. Makes it tough for elderly or people with poor dexterity.Feels good when someone else uses it on you though.

Relatively large scratching area, easy to use.In my case, the effect on my back is to make the itching less intense

This is very sturdy and the scratcher part is nice but it’s too short and I can’t do all of my back so with that and the price it’s only 3 stars I’m afraid

Having tried one of those cheap telescopic back scratchers that bent and fell apart after a few days use, I chose this because it looked well made and sturdy. I was impressed by the design that allows you to apply even pressure during use, which was exactly what I needed. Its also reassuring to know that is was made in the UK, I don’t expect many others are.Sure it was a little more expensive that the cheaper foreign alternatives but as with all things in life you get what you pay for. This back scratcher will last a lifetime so it’s great value for money.Cleanliness and hygiene are important to me and the simple design makes it very easy to clean (no nooks and crannies or wood to collect germs). I like the idea that because of the unique design you can buy different heads to attach to the handle. It was easy to swap them around and the lotion applicator is surprisingly effective, making this a versatile and cost effective piece of kit.Overall a great five star product, highly recommended.

I do like this back scratcher but I have found that it’s not long enough, there is a part of the back that no matter what angle I try reaching it won’t reach, I have arthritis all over which won’t help but maybe a longer version would be good for people like me who struggle with their stretch, Also I have to sit up because the width of the head part is quite wide, you can’t scratch those areas with out sitting up in the chair/sofa unlike the normal scratchers that you don’t really need to move much, the normal ones can extend too, I do like this scratcher but it’s not really practical to use for the back, shoulder blade areas are fine! I do think it’s a lot of money compared to the cheaper/original scratchers that work better in my opinion!

If you suffer from general itchy skin, this back scratcher is essential. Being short, and having short arms, I can't reach most of my back when it itches. And having numerous allergies, many of which result in hives and/or itching, I don't know how I would live without it. Unlike chop sticks, forks, and other makeshift scratchers, this one is gentle but effective. It soothes my itchy skin without damaging it, as sharp tools often do. And I can reach anywhere on my back with it, without undue contortions. It's a real life saver, and I don't know how I ever lived without it!

Little disappointed. Handle is not very long at all. Doesn’t reach all your back.

Even though the back scratching part works fairly well what would make this ideal is if the arm was double the length.

I love mine!! Gets into just the right spot!..also the flat side can be used for spreading lotion, as I couldn't figure out how to reach 'that spot', it worked perfectly!!
