AC - Casting Alloy (Pewter) An excellent casting pewter that contains approximately 92% Tin, 7.75% Antimony and .25% Copper. The copper makes the metal more ductile so that it can be formed easier with a hammer if necessary. This is consistent with old fashion English pewter (Britannia 8) International standard for lead free pewter. Melting temperature is 563-650 F. Each ingot weighs about 1 pound and measures approximately 3/4" x 1-1/2" x 4". Our lead-free pewters are used for the finest jewelry, gifts, collectibles, novelty items, accessories, awards, and decorations. These alloys can also be used to cast into plaster of paris, sand, and rubber molds. Review: Pewter. What else do you want? - It's pewter, desertcart. What kind of review do you expect? It melts at a pretty low temp, a butane torch melted it very easily in the melting ladle I purchased along with it. It poured very easily and was an enjoyable afternoon. Review: Casting metal - Very clean metal for casting!

Good Pewter!
I have a tool bag that was front heavy, always tipping over, very annoying! I polished these ingots, drilled and bolted them to the back of the bag, problem solved AND, they look pretty cool too!

works great
I use this product to teach basic cuttle bone relief casting in my 3D Design course. Works great. I heat the pewter with a regular blow torch.

Hard to find material
Brittania metal, will be put to use demonstrating basic casting technique in my classes. No lead means no worries. I will definitely be ordering more!

Low melt, high detail.
Made several belt buckles already, beautiful material to work with. Now I understand why our colonial ancestors liked this mix.
