HIBLOW XP-80 Septic Linear Air Pump/Pond Aerator

Bought after my cheap pump went out because of durability reviews and replaceable parts. Works excellent for my fish room so far. Was a little worried about the extra power but it is doing great. I did also purchase a gusher and set up a bleedoff for the pump. The pump is almost silent. Those that say this pump runs loud should probably return it. I can hear my bleedoff air over the pump. I also bought a muffler for the bleedoff so it is very quiet. My system isn’t ran in a loop so the bleed off is at the end of a 15-20ft run. I have 6- 20gal breeders connected and 4 hydroponic buckets. Each of these require 2 lines, total of 20 in my preferred setup and the pump handles it all very well with my bleed off completely open and a 1/4 muffler. So needless to say I have plenty of power left to expand. Great product so far.

Lots quieter than older model and less energy to run. Hopefully I get another 15 plus years from this air pump

It's much quieter and immediately helped my system. It seems to put out much more air.

This is not an exact replacement for the HP80 size wise. Much smaller. Hence the 4 star. Otherwise a 5. HP lasted for 12 years so time will tell if it's comparable. It blows. About all I can say. Once it's plumbed and covered, barely audible. Added an outlet since the HP it replaced was hardwired and I didn't want to cut the plug off. The two manuals that came with it do not show a connection for the small alarm tube. One manual does show an internal alarm and toggle which this does not. However, in the bottom of the box was a small packet with a fitting and instructions to remove a screw and install the fitting. So, there is an alarm connection. Just not apparent at first inspection. Other than that, simple swap out. Most anyone should be able to do it.

I've had Diamond 100s and Hi Blow 80's Before but this one stands up to either. It's impressive for its size. It's also a great price.... Highly Recommend.

This is a very quiet aerator and seems to pump lots of air. Will see how long it lasts. I bought the replacement diaphragms and air filter as i assume they will need to be replaced at some point. I liked this brand/unit because they offer replacement parts to extend its life whereas some of the other cheaper options don't offer this feature.
