Fun
As someone who doesn’t play the drums but feels he can keep a beat, I thought I would give this a go. It obviously doesn’t replace a real drum kit but is a god bit of fun. The fact that it is designed to be used with headphones means that you can drum away to your heart’s content without annoying the neighbours. It is quite small with little room between the drum pads so you will need to keep your hands in quite a compact position. It is probably most suited to a child just starting out who has an interest in being a drummer. It also needs to be placed quite low as the cables attached to the foot pedals are not very long. This kit makes a good fun toy but is not suited to seriously learning the drums .

Works very well, rolls/folds up for storage.
The media could not be loaded. Great electronic drum pad set with 7 drum pads and 2 foot pedals. Different drum sound sets can be selected from one of the buttons along with a demo and volume controls. No built in speaker but works great with portable speakers or headphones (keeps the noise down).Son likes playing on it. Certainly cheaper and easier to store then a real set.Well made and has a good quality feel to it.

Poor response, not very portable, not for serious drum practice
In principle this is a lovely idea- but there are problems with both design and quality that leave me very disappointed with this, even if it’s seen as a toy rather than a beginner’s practice pad and a gateway into drumming with a larger kit.On the kit I got, pad number 1, the crash cymbal, doesn’t work. There’s a visible bobble underneath the silicone where something has clearly gone wrong, and I could see that as soon as I got it out of the box, so it’s not something that happened post-unboxing. The kit was one-seventh faulty before I even started hitting it.There are portability issues. For a start, when plugged into a USB power bank, it doesn’t draw enough power consistently to keep the power bank ‘awake’, so it keeps turning itself off, even when you’re in the middle of playing it- so it needs to be plugged into a wall socket, or given batteries. Then there’s no built-in speaker in the system, so you have to use either headphones or an external speaker in order to hear what you’re hitting. So suddenly a supposedly portable kit involves carrying around a lot of cables. The product description says it comes with a ‘case’, though none of the product photos show a case- and sure enough there isn’t a case included. The box it arrives in is tightly packed to the extent that it’s difficult to pack everything back into it, so it flops open because of the design of the cardboard box, so that’s not a viable carry case. The drum sounds themselves are not too bad, to be fair. Most of the kit noises are moderately high-quality samples of genuine drum kits and there’s a slightly authentic sound to them. However this is undermined by the fact that when using USB power, the audio output of the device has a constant underlying hum to it that you can’t get rid of. So audio quality becomes moot anyway. The responsiveness of the silicone pads is not too bad, and they have a decent amount of bounce to them that is vaguely like a real drum skin. However, the sensors that respond to hitting are not up to standard- sometimes responding slowly, sometimes not at all, sometimes delayed. When you hit two pads at the same time, the chances of the sound of both drums coming out in sync aren’t guaranteed. If you’re planning to use this pad to teach someone some classic drumming basics like how to do a paradiddle, you’ll be left very disappointed. Even just trying to drum along to one of your favourite tunes is a frustrating experience when what you hear sounds more out-of-time than you know you’re being.Perhaps I got a faulty kit compared to some of the other reviews, but the set I received is not up to scratch as a potential beginners or practice kit if you want to do real drumming- on that basis I wanted to give it two stars. But if you just want a way that your kids can bash something aggressively without making too much noise, there’s something value in this I suppose- and because of that, I’m giving three stars instead.

Great portable drum set for beginners
My nephew finds this fun to use. I like that it has a headphone jack so he's been able to go absolutely crazy with it. We set it on a low table so the peddles weren't an issue. I also like that it is portable so can be carried from my home to his house when wanted.

A hit!
This is a fun set for kids to get familiar with drumming and see if it's something they want to take a bit further. I like that it includes the pedals, so it helps see if there is the overall coordination in place. It's a lot of fun, you can cycle between 5 different drum sets which all have different sounds - pop, rock, latim, electro and percussion. There are some demo songs to hear which can give some inspiration! It's easy to setup - you can plug into a usb and power it that way, or you can use 2 AAA batteries (which aren't included), plug in some headphones (also not included but its a standard connection). Then you are ready to go. It's a good size to play away with and because its easy to fold up you don't have to worry about it taking up too much room and it is portable to move about the place. The sound quality is good for the price, it doesn't sound too artificial and is good enough for an introductory toy. It takes a few minutes to get used to hitting the pads in a way to make a noise, but this is more about positioning and how you hold the drumsticks, which is what would happen with any set. When they are hit the pads are responsive and there doesn't seem to be a noticeable delay so you can quickly put together some different beats! It is a simple set, so don't expect too much from it, but you can have a lot of fun and a good introduction to drums.
