It is much clearer than the old headphone connection box.
This was purchased for a relative who was getting disheartened with the lack of clarity with the old Echo Loop box. This connects to the optical input on the T.V. and makes all the difference to the quality of the sound.

My wife can now hear the TV again clearly.
This is a great little box and the system itself is easy to install, clips are included to fit the wire to the skirting board (I just poked the wire down behind the edge of the fitted carpet around the edge of the room). You can cut the wire if it is too long. Then connect the cable to the amp and connect the amp to your TV (or other audio source). I used the included Toslink optical cable which plugged into the optical out on the TV.Our TV (LG) has various 'sound out' options accessed via the remote. Two of these options include optical out (TV speakers/Optical or Audio out/Optical) there is no latency of you use the TV speakers/Optical option but if you use the Audio out/Optical to a DVD/Blueray there is a slight sound delay due to the video processing so if you want to use your surround sound you can't have it too loud as it is slightly out of sync with the Optical out (although this can easily be rectified by using a £20 audio extractor (Google - HDMI Converter 3x1 HDMI Switch with Audio Extractor Analog Optical Toslink SPDIF Output) and connecting the induction amp directly to the TV to DVD HDMI feed, this isn't as complicated as it sounds here. This induction loop system has improved my wife's TV experience immensely (she says that it is like having the sound 'injected' into her head whereas before it was just a distorted noise) and I absolutely recommend it 100%.Incidentally for less than £20 you can buy an optical loop tester (Google - 'Adastra Compact Beltpack Induction Loop Receiver'), one of these will help you check that it is working properly and where the strongest and clearest signal is, I recommend buying one.

Connecting with a soundbar
After initial installation I was disappointed - the volume in my hearing aids was weak even with the MegaLoop gain control and volume at max. Speech is clear but there is no bass. I am used to a good soundbar but had to disconnect the TOSLink cable to that and plug it into the MegaLoop. So I bought a a TOSLink splitter https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07XY3HFKT for £9.20 and now I am delighted.I am not deaf but I have hearing loss; the combination of soundbar + MegaLoop works well for me and for those who just hear output from the soundbar.Sadly, the tone controls on the MegaLoop make no discernable difference at all.So, switch on TV; switch on DVD recorder; switch on MegaLoop; switch on soundbar; switch hearing aids to "T". Simple, eh?Getting the loop cable under the fitted carpet was laborious and took some hours but now the cable is not visible at all.Perseverance paid off.

Brilliant
We have a digital tv but had an analogue loop system with a conversion box for my father in law. This is so much better. It plugs into TV directly, is simple to use and has saved hours of tortuous connections, lose wires, watching one tv programme whilst listening to another (!) etc. Thank you for this brilliant product

TV viewing is now enjoyable!
I was losing interest watching TV as I was always asking the wife "what did they say"! Turning up the volume didn't necessarily help as it gave a buzzing noise in my weaker ear. I have had hearing aids just over 12 months and only used an inductance loop aid for the first time 1 month ago and couldn't believe the difference it made. I researched on line and this products reviews were wonderful for a TV so I immediately purchased it. It was easy to install and I ran the loop wire just under my coving concealing it in mini trunking as I had too many doorways and arches to overcome at floor level. This has made so much difference to my hearing as the sound is directly amplified into the hearing aids blocking out background noise. The TV's volume has been turned down so everyone is happy!. When you first turn the amplifier on, it is astounding and is just like someone has turn the volume up. The tone is very good and the clarity of the spoken word is brilliant. I can't recommend it enough!

It has transformed my Mum's life!
Absolutely fabulous! My mum, who lives with us and has her own sitting room, was always afraid to turn the volume of the TV too high (even though we kept telling her it wouldn't bother us). She has hearing aids in both ears. We bought this MegaLoop a couple of months ago and it has transformed her life! The box sits under her TV and she has never had to alter the volume. If anyone comes into her room to talk to her, she just switches the switch on one of her hearing aids and the MegaLoop turns off and she can hear us talk. So easy, even she can do it! The first time she listened to Pointless she cried as she had never heard 'the big one' talk before - even though she had watched it for years. The volume of the TV is set to '0', but if we watch a programme with her we can have the volume up and she can still use the MegaLoop. Easy to set up, my sister and I did it in about 15 minutes. Nice thin wire to tuck between carpet and skirting. Another bonus for Mum is that she can now sit in her room with the door wide open, instead of closed as she was worried she was disturbing us. I can honestly say this was money well spent. Thank you Echo!

Mum will be able to listen to digital radio as well from the TV in the bedroom lying in bed.
Customer service is great and they have many other products for Health doorbells and the like. Their web site is really good.Nice bit of kit. Purchased for my mother however she has an NHS phonak nathos + hearing aid. She needed to pop into the drop in appointment to get the Teli coil programed switched on. You can change the tone and gain on this and have more than one type of input. Kit comes with all you need to set up. The wire is white in colour and blends in with skirting etc. I ran ours to the bungalow loft up the wall though the ceiling. If you want to not use the mini clips you can use a hot glue gun.You can hardly see the wire. The loop wire is like a long aerial and single wire that loops around. Don't forget to set the Automatic volume on your tv so quiet sounds come through keeps the volume low and enhance quiet volume.
