It's easy to " grind" the grain into flour in a ...
Buckwheat gives me an option for a grain other than rice. I have allergies to wheat and oats and most of the other grains. The buckwheat from gerbs is free from the top allergens and I am so thankful for that. It's easy to " grind" the grain into flour in a blender or nutribullet. I use it to make buckwheat blueberry flats (. Thick cracker). It's very good.

This product is misrepresenting the real Buckwheat.
I am not sure what is wrong with this grain (seed to be accurate), but it tastes northing like buckwheat. Usually I buy real buckwheat from Eastern Europe or Canada. It is very flavorful and has great nutty flavor. I can eat it with no salt, as is, with some dry fruit, with milk, yogurt, etc. Very versatile. Gerbs product has no taste. Maybe I can add it to a soup for health reasons. But this is not the buckwheat I love and have been enjoying for decades. Buckwheat can be grown in a variety of soils. But the quality is really affected by the soil. Maybe Rhode Island is just not the right place for this crop.

Did not sprout? Are they even raw?
I tried sprouting them 3 times, and even brought a sprouting jar...and nothing. Not even one sprout.

Allergy friendly a life saver
Love the allergy friendly feature as I am allergic to so many things and cannot use other products. This is a life line. I grind this into flour and bake with it using a vitamix blender to grind. Sometimes cook the grain into cereal. Good quality.
