Can any previous buyers tell me if the spout drips when you pour the tea?

No , this teapot does not drip from the spout when you pour the tea . I’m so pleased with it I have bought one for my daughter-in -law,and one for our static caravan in Cornwall . After placing the tea in the inner strainer make sure the strainer is securely in place before closing the lid ! IT’S A LOVELY TEAPOT !

I wouldn't if I were you, unless you were going to put a heat-proof mat between the pot and the stove. You run the risk of boiling the tea, or making the pot so hot it'd be difficult to lift it.
