Works
So its a funnel for your portafilter basket. It fits well, it funnels grinds, and keeps you counter a bit cleaner. I think the only downside about this is the price. Honestly I would have been perfectly happy with a bit of high-grade molded plastic (like the stuff power tools are made of) set with magnets since its all about function. But this is machined aluminum which is then anodized, so that is what you are paying for. That said it works. First the shape. The groove on the bottom sits OUTSIDE the lip of the portafilter basket so you have full access to DE clump the sides of the basket, and you can tamp with this in place. And its sized accurately for the 58mm basket I use. Been using it about a week and so far the magnets are staying in place. The extra magnets seem to give it a tight fit, it will hold up even if you turn the portafilter upside down, but not too tight so its annoying to remove. Your mileage will very depending on how ferrous your basket is. For example, one of my baskets, magnets don't seem to stick it because of the alloy its made from. I got the tall because I use a Baratza grinder so clearance isn't an issue for me. Gives me lots of room do do the WDT thing to break up clumps with clumsy abandon. Very good for morning coffee when you are not awake enough to be coordinated. The only problem I have is price. I know people who do machining for a living. I realize the margin I had to pay for this is kind of insane. (Think 10x) But all the competition apparently failed at being about 1oz of turned lathe turned metal sized to the nearest 0.05 of in inch, which is so pathetic its impressive. But its also a lunk of turned metal, so it *should* be a buy it for life kind of thing. I theory I could break this, but I would have to actually put effort in. Even the worst case, if a magnet comes out, epoxy will fix that in a minute.

Works great
Tried other brand magnetic dosing funnel only to be disappointed in the magnetic strength. This one is much stronger and it looks great too!

Tall version: excellent except dark color hides the coffee grounds
1.check: Tallest height that still fits under your grinder, to prevent mess and keep grounds going straight into the portafilter basket 2. check: Vertical sides so the grounds go straight down into the basket instead of piling up on the sides as happens with angled-side funnels. And so you can use the tamper right through the funnel 3. check: Magnetized so it stays on the basket keeping things neat 4. FAIL: bright, light color so you can see the grounds as you prepare and tamp. This black anodized funnel makes the grounds invisible so you're just guessing what's going on as you prepare. ***These are the four things--listed in order of importance--I've learned are important for making quick, neat, work of getting coffee grounds into your portafilter basket. This Normcore Tall version 58mm dosing funnel is by far the best I've tried for the three most important traits of the ideal dosing funnel, and fails only in that last one. It's a problem that you can't see grounds static-sticking to the funnel. You only find out when you take the funnel off and it's gritty with grounds. This one thing is all they'd need to fix to make this the best funnel there is. In trying to reduce the time and fiddly-ness of dealing with static electricity and messy grounds in general, I have found, like many others, that grinding straight into the portafilter basket means not having to brush grounds out of other receptacles. The goal is to reduce useless annoying steps of preparing a shot so you can get your shot faster, and so you can focus on and enjoy the useful effective steps of preparing your shot. Your grinder may be like mine which casts grounds outside the basket unless I'm using a funnel. I'm seeing people complain the magnets aren't very strong, but this Normcore has nine of the better magnets when the other magnetized funnels have 4-6 magnets of unknown quality. The Normcore has the strongest magnetic hold of any I've tried. It doesn't feel as strong and magnetic hold usually does, but it's worth noting that stainless steel generally has a much weaker magnetic attraction than non-stainless alloys of steel. Some stainless alloys are not magnetic at all. You can expect IMS and other top basket makers to choose the best stainless for espresso performance and not choose it for magnetism. The portafiler itself is either stainless with the same iffy magnetism, or it's chromed brass without magnetic attraction at all. So I give Normcore top marks for making this funnel hold as well as it does, which is enough. It helps that aluminum is lightweight so less taxing on the available magnetism. I might have preferred vertically machined inner sides at an even ~58.6mm so that tamping through the funnel would also sweep straight down any grounds sticking to the sides of the funnel. However, there may be reasons this is not a good idea; Normcore thinks through this stuff so I'll trust them on this. The funnel has slightly curved inner sides but mostly vertical. But then how did Normcore not think through the fact you can't see coffee grounds sticking to a black anodized surface? Black anodization may fit into their design choices, and they generally make really good design choices. But in this case, the color impedes function. I'll have to use the funnel a bit more to decide, but not being able to see the grounds adhering to funnel surfaces might result in it being more messy than it's worth. Its other 3 features are good enough, however, that if they offered this tall funnel in silver anodized color, I'd immediately buy a second one.

Exactly what I was looking for
The magnetic part that connects it to the portafilter is a game changer. Love this item and can’t imagine making my coffee without it now. Super easy to use, just connect it and continue on with your espresso journey. Fits like a glove and have used over 20+ times without any issues. I also like that it looks sleek and matches all of my other normcore accessories!

High quality 54mm funnel compatible with the portafilters of the Sage Bambino plus. It allows you to not to spill the grinded coffee when you are filling the basket and prepping your puck. It has magnets on the bottom so it sticks to the basket. The magnets are strong but they depend on the material of your basket. The originals baskets that came with the Bambino stick very well, while the more precise ones from IMS that I have, the big bang for example, stick very weakly, so take that into account. All in all an essential tool to keep your counter clean and not waste coffee.

Very nice and a great price. Fits perfectly on the puck of my my Ninja Luxe Pro. Bought so that the grinds didn't go everywhere when using the Wdt tool. Works perfectly.

Great material, looks even nicer in person!

The height of it is perfect for preventing any accidental spillage, along with the great magnetic hold it has without leaving an imprint of a ring on the outer edge of the coffee puck. All this whilst still having the durability to bounce right back up into my hands when I accidentally dropped it from chest height without leaving a scratch.
