20ft (6m) Dog Tie Out Cable with 16" Spiral Ground Stake Spike

We got this to keep our dog from escaping from the garden while she is in season. The first time we screwed it into the ground she ran off taking the screw with her. I should say that the ground was very dry. We now use the cable around the leg of our heavy patio table. It's much safer than a long lead and doesn't get as tangled but I wouldn't leave her unattended as she still manages to get caught up. So far she hasn't been able to chew through it. I would buy again.

I have a large open garden onto a wood and no way of blocking it, due to farm ditches, plus the additional hazard of deer, squirrels and rabbits for my terrier to chase. This tie out post gives my terrier the freedom to toottle in the garden without me standing there with him on the lead. I can open the back door, hook him up and he can roam in a 20ft area. I can also move it to another location if required when I am gardening.

If I could give zero I would. Broke on first use at a campsite with 9 month old lab pup (20kg). Do not use if your dog is likely to run at anything. The metal snapped first off, then we attached to the triangle at top as we needed somewhere to put her and she bent the whole thing! Not a useful bit of equipment like it should have been and we ended up with a loose dog because of the shoddy fixtures.

First time used my Lurcher ran to the end of the cable and half pulled it out of the ground and bent the pin. I have used this type of pin in the past and always found them sturdy but I wouldn't trust this to hold my dog in one place for long. Cable seems fine and I will use that. Fast delivery and well packed

Our Lakeland puppy had no trouble mastering this stake out, sturdy enough, we have used it twice now camping. It gives her a little freedom and us piece of mind.

Very good sturdy product. Stayed in the ground well even in wet weather. However it would be nice if this was adjustable as the length was too long for what I needed it for but this can be resolved using another rope/cable

Strong product that holds a Bullmastiff just under 15st. Need to keep a shorter reign but the lead can double up. I will invest in a stronger screw anchor but it has held well so far but it is already bent but if it can hold a mastiff you can't go far wrong. Very good quality product.

Got these for my 2 miniature sausage dogs but would easily secure bigger dogs
