I’ve applied numerous skins on my electronics and found that the PopSkin on the Steam Deck has been the best as far as installation and fitment on my device.The process took about an hour and half to complete. The video that was created by the company helped out a ton, providing a step-by-step guide and installation tips that helped making this daunting project easier for the installer with less experience. I found the “Attachment Support Sheets” provided was a great touch to help with the initial alignment of the skin.Fit and Finish is perfect. I opted for the Matte finish in White. The finish is similar to the OE feel, which I was mainly concerned about prior to purchasing this skin. Cut outs for each individual part on the deck lined up perfectly and found that I did not have to do any stretching or too many adjustments after the initial alignment of the skin.This skin can be installed without heat but as other reviewers have mentioned, helps a ton with pieces with rounded corners. A suggestion that I recommend for the company is possibly adding relief cuts on the front corner pieces, similar to the back corner pieces as these were the most cumbersome pieces to install.Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase of my PopSkin for my SteamDeck and will be purchasing more skins from them in the future!

I see that about a fifth of the people who buy this fail at putting it together. (This is just a phrase, these things are not actually being put together like a building set or a puzzle.) The key for this item is to have patience and a hairdryer. And actually watch the video. I see some people out there that do not watch the video and then blame the company or the product, when it was just their own idiocy that led them to failure.Anyway, the video is long but the time spent trying to put this on will probably be longer for you. That does not mean you are stupid or slow. You are actually doing it right if you take longer than the video.I used a regular old hairdryer. Using a heat gun probably would have allowed me to finish faster but I was too lazy to go to the garage. And also, I find the hairdryer gives me more control. It does not get nearly as hot and it does not heat up super fast. Those may sound like downsides but with this product it may actually help. Since you do not have to worry about your product becoming too hot too fast.Also, this vinyl skin is a little more forgiving than other skins I have had to work with in the past. It has good stickiness and stretchability.The best thing to do is have patience. But also know to stop seeking perfection. Let’s face it: one side is not going to perfectly match the other. Because it is basically diy, there are bound to be imperfections. The best thing to do is to find a place where you are willing to live with those imperfections (that you caused). At some point, you just have to say ‘Good enough!’ and move on. It comes down to what you are willing to accept.Anyway, I feel my vinyl skin came out good enough, so five stars.

Looks great but isn’t worth the price. The product got ripped easily. Even though I applied it with care, with a hairdryer and after watching the tutorial video.. I had to remove the grip parts because they couldn’t apply well. Way too difficult to apply compared to previous skin stickers I got from other brands.

It came out perfectly. I will update with photos later. As far as I know this is the only full coverage skin available and it’s certainly the most attractive skin I’ve seen. I already had a white leather Dbrand skin on my steam deck but I removed it for this one.I made sure to watch the video while installing and paused in between parts. I’d watched it even before I got my skin and used needle nose tweezers/pliers from ifixit kit (big help). It’s important to go very slowly and be careful of any stretching.A tip though, use a blow dryer for ALL of the curved parts to avoid wrinkles but make sure you don’t pull the skin or it will stretch. I also used the dryer after applying button stickers and along edged and did extra pressing with a q tip for small parts to adhere better. Without doing the dryer on the button stickers and pressing with a q tip I could feel the edges under my fingers and didn’t like it.

Mailman folded the package and placed it inside the mailbox. When I opened the Amazon package I was horrified to find this sticker. I feel like this sticker is something you would place on the *OUTSIDE* of the packaging, not the inside.I attempted to place the skin on my console anyway but the stickers weren't straight and it turned out terrible.This is by also by means the most difficult sticke" you could possibly attempt to place. It's virtually *impossible* to place this item on your Steam Deck without creasing or overlapping. I lost my money on this one. Very upsetting.

Another amazing skin! This is the 3rd deck skin I've purchased from pop skin through amazon. I bought the gundam skin for my son's steam deck, a super famicom skin for my spare 64gb deck and this white skin for my OG 500gb deck.The youtube video for the "how to apply" is super thorough and extremely helpful.
