The box I received was already opened and put into a plastic bag. One cable appears to have been previously used and was missing the Velcro wrap used to roll it up for transport. For this price, I'm going to give it a try. So far the cord that appears used seems fine. It's fast charging my phone as I type. The length of the cable is good, the quality seems very good. I may update this review if anything changes.

Great cords from a great company, durable, nice cable thickness, also comes with a Velcro strap for easy travelability, and works perfect, signal quality is great.

Stick with quality. Getting a legacy cable doesn't mean any brand will do. Anker is consistently better than other brands and still a reasonable price. I don't want to skimp. The signal is clean, charging is fast, even though both ends aren't C. When a cable slows down after a few years we don't hesitate: we get more Ankers. The slower, older cables aren't worn out for years, even when they are old. We use them to charge headphones, Bluetooth headsets and slower- charging devices. In the end, I've gotten years and years of use out of Anker cables, unlike many others. We travel with them on trips, and have them in our backpacks. They are available in different lengths and colors. We take extras for friends and get longer ones for the back seat. They are made in such a sturdy way that they have never tangled. They're my favorite. Also: get the Anker batteries: they're some of the best!
