Good quality UV lamps
Most reviews seem to be complaints about well-established effects of UV sanitization. Do they stink? Yes. UV-C will product stink, this is a byproduct of sanitization. How much do they stink? It depends how much sanitization was done: stink=VOC's. The EPA and FDA claim the VOCs produced by UV-C light are harmless, and scientifically there is no reason they would be since they are essentially airborne "dead cells." I was verifiably able to determine these lights emit almost no ozone using my Klein gas detector. VOCs unsurprisingly go off the chart (mine were 700ppm before UV-C, then 2000ppm, and finally settled down to 500ppm) until the area has been sanitized AND filtered. That second part is important: if you want to actually clean your air instead of just sanitize it, you need to collect the dead particulate matter floating around. This is why common applications for UV-C are inside HVAC air handlers BEFORE and AFTER the filter, but if only using a single UV-C, I recommend placing it before the filter if possible. This is generally not possible if your filter access is at the return intake and not inside the HVAC unit\duct. Eventually the airborne particulate will be filtered but...you will smell it. Alternatively you can run a room HEPA filter to collect it. So far I have two bulbs running pre and post filter, inside the return vent before the filter, and one after the heat exchanger. I'm curious how long the bulb life will be exposed to 180F heat as these E26 base bulbs are clearly not designed to be fixed inside duct work, but using a NEMA15>E26 adapter and making a mount out of sheet metal, I riveted a bulb mount to my ducts, drilled a 7/8" hole for the filament of the bulb to insert into the duct, and appropriately leak-sealed with high-temp foil duct tape. Very economical solution compared to Honeywell and other brands that charge $100-$150 for equivilent bulbs, all of which seem to be ozone-emitting. While ozone sanitizes more, controlling the "medical office" smell they produce is extremely challenging in a residential setting as it collects inside fabrics.

Used this to knock down the mold an mildew smell in the basement. Run 1 to 2 hours a day with noticable improvement.

Works When it Works
I’m stunned this is $100. They look incredibly cheap, and one arrived with a defective bulb; No cracks or visible damage, it simply won’t light up. EDIT: ** -> **** So after I left my review, I was promptly contacted by the seller and they sent me replacements. I gave +1 star for the quick customer support and another +1 since it seems to accomplish what it does as advertised. The smell it leaves behind reminds me of how my clothes would smell after my mother left them out to dry on a clothesline on a sunny summer day, only much stronger. I can’t give it a 5 star though because while the quick support was appreciated, this still does seem to be an over-priced and defective product based off my own experience and the experiences of other reviews I’ve seen here. Buyer be warned: there’s a good chance that at least one of your bulbs won’t work on arrival.

Safe
Using the bulb in a horizontal position, feel like it’s less likely to overheat like some reviews suggest. Probably not recommended ..but it’s been on over 24hrs straight without any issues. Setup a generic shield so no one can directly see the pretty light. Definitely smells better so it’s doing something.

These work pretty well
I got the ozone-free pair. They light up. They're the same brightness. I just had each on for about 10 -15 seconds. I smelled ozone. And that makes sense. MIT's journal states: "Initially, the UV light interacts with oxygen in the air to form ozone, which is itself a health risk. “ I'm not going to use these in our living spaces, so I don't care that much about breathing the ozone. But, I am using these to sanitize plastic. And the ozone (as well as the UV) can damage that. That's why I tried to get the ozone-fee ones. But for all I know, they just have different labels.

Cheap quality expect some to fail
Have had these for about 1 month BARELY used (<15 hours) first bulb already burned out. We’ll see how long second lasts Of course just a week after I can’t return it. Unless seller offers to replace will not buy again

They are far more dangerous than they seem.
As the father of an immune compromised daughter in the time of pandemics I love these. But they are dangerous. We affectionately call ours "danger bulbs". From experience I can tell you: using both at once, exposure of just a minute will give you the worst sunburn of your life. But in a day or two. not immediately. 30 minutes will kill your house plants. buy a timer with a remote and you only need one bulb and 15 minutes to sterilize a good sized room. It says no ozone but I still smell it so air out the room afterwards. Sometimes I wonder how legal these things should be. Finally, be aware the bulbs shift spectrum with use so they'll become ineffective way before they burn out.

Me ha ayudado bastante con el problema de la humedad, también puede ahuyentar un poco a las cucarachas y otros animalitos.

The light bulb started smoking as soon as it was switched on. You are not meant to be in the room at the same time that this bulb is on. Luckily I was. When I walked up to take a look at the smoke a flame came out and the bulb then failed. DANERGOUS. DEFECTIVE. DO NOT BUY.
