Gator Cases Traditional Series Hard-Shell Wood Case For 3/4 Sized Acoustic Guitars (GWE-ACOU-3/4)

I was having a hard time finding a good, affordable hard case for my son's Yamaha JR1 so I bought this one. I was concerned it would be way too big. It fits the guitar nice and snug, and now if/when I upgrade my son to a larger guitar, we already have a case for it. This is a really well made case. Just try not to pay attention to the fact that it has doubled in price in the past few years.

I have a Yamaha FG Junior JR2 3/4 size guitar. It came with a crappy "gig bag," from which it was difficult to extricate the guitar, and did nothing to protect the guitar, except maybe keep the dust off. THIS CASE IS THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE! It's incredibly sturdy, padded with silky plush fabric inside. The guitar body fits perfectly, and for my particular guitar there is about 5-6 inches of space above the headstock. But the body is held in place beautifully so it doesn't matter that there's space above the head. I could probably stand on this case without crushing it (not gonna try tho.) It has four very sturdy clips to hold the lid down, and one of these clips has a wee lock, which probably would only deter a toddler, but it looks nice. The only drawback is that it is a bit heavy, but unless you're carrying it for miles that probably won't be a problem. The carrying handle is very solidly attached. I get the feeling this case will last for years, and look new forever. If you want a case that gives you the shabby appearance of a nomadic vagabond musician, buy a different case. But if you want to protect your guitar on your rambles, this is the one.

My old 3/4 small sized guitar had been sitting in my closet for a while, getting in my way, and I wanted to be able to protect it from dust as well as be able to stack it on a shelf without damaging it. A hard case seemed like a much better solution than the other soft cases for this. The price was a bit high for my taste. I wish there were some cheaper hard case options but this seemed like the best option out there. The inside of the case is very nice and soft, with a convenient compartment to store a tuner etc. It has 3 clasps on one side and 1 clasp on the other. The middle of the three clasps has a lock on it. So while outside of the case to me looks like pleather that will degrade over time, the description says it's Tolex PVC which is supposed to be very durable and waterproof. I don't know yet about the longevity but I do see a lot of damaged photos in other reviews so I feel skeptical. Maybe it takes a really hard beating to damage the case but I am not sure. We'll see how it holds up over time. I'm really not too concerned personally as I just want it to be protected and don't care about scuffs. One last concern is the warning on another review that a chemical on this can cause cancer. I assume that it's probably some kind of fire retardant chemical. I'm hoping the exposure will be minimal as it will sit in the back of a closet and I think that many other things we're already exposed to have this chemical like mattresses etc. But I kind of wish they'd put this warning more prominently in the description. Overall the case looks nice. It does the job. I might have bought a different one if I'd noticed the cancer warning though.

Great case with sturdy and well alinged latches, soft padded black interior and internal storage compartment. I was shopping for a hard case for my D'Angelico Utica Travel Guitar and it appeared the SKS Big Baby Case was 1 inch too short to fit the headstock D'Angelico are famous for. The Gator is a great fit. Has about 1" 1/4 extra space beyond the headstock to the end of the case and the body is slighly smaller than the outline of the case but when I fold up my strap, place it under the neck just above the joint, it holds the body firmly in place. Ideally a 1/2 inch smaller all around would be perfect but once I put the strap in it is a perfect fit. No movement or shaking around inside once I close the lid.

The guitar place is perfect, but it is just a little bit heavy yet for the twelve year old, but she will grow into it.We also have a soft cover for everyday use.

Great case, fit my Gretsch Gin well. Case did come damaged. Too big of a hassle to return so I’ll live with it. Get a cool sticker.

Couldn’t be more pleased. Fits my daughter’s guitar perfectly. Well worth the cost. The quality is amazing inside and out. Latches well and has a lock and key.

Llevaba tiempo buscando un estuche para una guitarra antigua (del 1901) y que poe sus medidas y características no encajaban en ninguna case. He visto las medidas de esta (la de 3/4) y se acercaba muchísimo a lo de la guitarra y decidí arriesgar. Encajó perfectamente, como un guante! Aparte de esto me parece una case de calidad, he tenido varias y de varias marcas y esta para el precio que tiene es de verdad excelente.

Der Koffer ist sehr schön, mein Enkel hat sich sehr darüber gefreut. Leider ist anstatt ein Koffer, drei Koffer angekommen und ich weis nicht wohin ich die zwei übrigen Koffer wieder zurücksenden kann . Ich würde mich freuen wenn Sie mich kontaktieren könnten. Ansonsten verschenke ich die übrigen Gitarrenkoffer.
