Great flavour from real leaf tea.
I started blending my own tea before Christmas. I originally purchased "household name" loose leaf Assam, but it turned out to be fines as found in tea bags rather than leaf. I had purchased Ahmad Ceylon and Darjeeling loose leaf teas and been very satisfied with them. I then bought Ahmad loose leaf Assam. The flavour is significantly richer and more complex than the "household brand" and I will be sticking with Ahmad.

Not a bad cuppa
Any time I change my "usual" tea it takes a while to get used to the taste. This tea took a few days before I could review. Firstly, I was pleased that the leaves are substantial. Unlike many other loose tea's that look like more like the contents of a vacuum cleaner. So no dust evident. However, if you like it strong, you may need to use 50% more as I do. On the whole, not a bad cuppa.

English Breakfast with oomph
Quite delicate for an Assam with rich malty flavour. Real leaf tea without fines and dust although I would challenge those who call it big leaf. I used 5g to 400ml boiling water brewed for 3 minutes to get a dark malty brew which I enjoyed in the morning. Reminiscent of English Breakfast but with a bit more oomph to it.
