Delicious biltong. The best taste of any I’ve tried. No fatty horrible bits just pure beef

Tastes good and much better quality than most.

I have only tried one other brand prior to this and it was The Biltong Man, therefore please bear in mind that this is just my personal opinion as I draw comparisons between the two brands. The Biltong Man's brand is a harder darker product which is nice, however I personally prefer the slightly lighter redder and softer product from Ember which I do believe is more finely cut and holds a more subtle flavour. Don't get me wrong, I find no fault in the other brand, however, as both products are possibly heated and dried, I do surmise that the redder softer is possibly fresher. When I say softer, I mean its texture and hardness is almost between that of The Biltong Man biltong and the Wildwest beef jerky perhaps due to the finer cuts which I thoroughly enjoyed. Although not British, I have lived in the UK for most of my life and I must admit I have bought into the whole British and Irish beef preference, so this is an advantage in my opinion as well. If memory serves me correctly, the Ember bags are easier to reseal which makes it easier for snacking for somebody like myself. Now then, comparisons aside, if you do decide to give the Ember Chili Beef biltong a try then remember to give the bag a shake as the spices that really add the extra flavour to this biltong have a tendency to settle on the bottom of the bag otherwise. I hope my review has helped to provide a deeper insight into the product and supported the company by doing so, Ember has something very good going here, please keep it up.

Iv'e ordered two bags of this so far and both have been very consistent, the meat is dry and not at all greasy to the touch which is a major plus for me as i snack while at a computer, in terms of texture it starts off a bit tough as you would expect but very quickly softens up and has a great flavour, the only downside here for me was that i found a gristly bit, but i only found the one out of a combined 1KG of meat so I'm not really bothered by it. As for flavour the chilli flavouring comes in the form of dried chilli flakes, personally i like this as it is natural and doesn't leave powder residue everywhere but there are a couple of downsides, the spiciness can vary from bit to bit and also the flakes tend to settle towards the bottom of the pack so the end 'crumbs' are very spicy compared to the rest, apart from that the flavour is pretty much the standard salty/beefy flavour with a hint of vinegar you would expect from biltong. The packs are not resealable but i found folding the top and using a clip worked providing you keep it in the fridge. Overall i very much enjoyed the product.

I was a small bit sceptical about ordering food products from Amazon but decided to bite the bullet on a bag of the Ember Biltong (I got the chilli beef one) The flavour is amazing which gets stronger the more you eat and trust me this stuff is addictive! The pieces of beef are for the most part very soft, granted there will be a tough piece in there considering the size of the bag but they still taste amazing. The ONLY con to this is the packaging, I would love to see a resealable bag that could keep it fresh for more than three days because trust me its a task to try finish it within the given timeframe TL;DR - Biltong good, chilli flavour good, give us a sealable bag and I cant wait for my next order!

Despite claiming to be chili flavoured/spicy I could not taste any chili or spice. I don't claim this as a "I can handle super strong spices and this was below my limits" type of guy, I don't like very spicy things and tend to order Kormas, so I was very surprised to find this didn't have any flavor of chili at all. I tried multiple packets to be sure. So despite the lack of spice with these, I also have to mark the ratings down for 3 other reasons. One, the meat is incredibly thin, I was expecting more beef in these but they're wafer thin. Two, this jerky is very dry, I was surprised as some reviews call it very moist. Not sure what's going on there. Three, this is very expensive for what it is. 280g of beef for £20! I was expecting something very special, especially with the very high ratings, is it meant to be wagyu? I've had better spicy beef jerky from the local Chinese shop at a quatre of the price! This was a huge let down.

Good quality and well presented. Tried Chili and Rosemary & Garlic. later is really good. Garlic is not dominant which is rather unusual and I like it even so "rosemary flavour" might be strange for some. As for chilli version, beef is nicely dried and not much fat, the chilli amount is good and not too hot but the chilli they use have some "lemony/acid" notes, which is not up to my palate. Overall good quality product at a reasonable price.

2 fois que je commande la version chili en 1kg et franchement le gout et la texture sont vraiment bon, limite addictif. La meilleur viande séchée que j'ai pu gouter. Parfait pour le sport et la prise de muscle, si comme moi vous ne supportez pas les shakers et les barres protéinés c'est une très bonne alternative. Un peu salé et des conservateurs mais l'approche de l'entreprise est respectable. Très bon produit, je recommande.

questo è , personalmente, il miglior biltong che io abbia mai mangiato tralasciando i valori nutrizionali eccellenti soprattutto per gli sportivi, il gusto è veramente buono. si il prezzo è alto tuttavia la qualità è anche alta, qualità che si può capire leggendo la storia dei produttori ( riportata sul retro del sacchetto) . decisamente consigliato
