Works Well in the 2nd Gen Toyota Tundra
Android Auto is really nice in an older vehicle like mine. And I don't have to dismiss the warning message on startup like the Kenwood I had before. Great value from a famous brand. Highly recommended.

Great upgrade Android auto & backup camera
Works great for our 2002 GMC Sierra. The 2002 has a weird 1.5 DIN size so we were worried about fitment but the adjustability in the head unit mounting made it great. The only concern is the shift level is very close to the screen ONLY in park. So this is not a deal breaker you just can't have anything in your hand when shifting into park or you will hit the radio screen. We added a park break input so we can "allegedly" run video anytime. I also really liked the old skool USB option so I could add a mini flash drive for music and videos.

CarPlay doesn’t always auto connect but otherwise great
Looks great, sounds great, and works great. The only issue is the apple CarPlay doesn’t always auto connect on wireless, not a huge issue being that it’s easy to manually connect but it be nice if it worked every time . It honestly has so much power I had to replace my stock speakers. I recommend it for anyone. I can’t comment on android auto since I don’t have a android but I’m sure it works good.

Extremely disappointing product
I thought I was upgrading from a Jensen to this, but it's been nothing but trouble. I just decided to splurge on an Alpine to replace it. The rearview camera doesn't work (worked on the Jensen) the mic doesn't work (worked on the Jensen), it doesn't synch with my iPhone 17, and it constantly glitches, wanting to go to the contacts menu repeatedly. I did the latest firmware upgrade (which was also a nightmare), and it didn't help at all. The install is awkward and not well thought out, just overall a poor product.

Pioneer floating screen
Definitely more bang for the buck 10 out of 10 recommend!! Pioneer did the big one with this radio an it fills the whole radio slot looks like a big iPad in the dash!! Seller was very reasonable priced and pretty quick with shipping!! I’d definitely do business with them again

Pioneer single din with 9" screen
Love it. Easy to use. I can use Google maps and Spotify at the same time as well as read and respond to my messages. Easy to make calls. Love the way you can also use Google to look up information. Easy to install

Great upgrade
All my life since driving I have been a pioneer fan. This was my latest update and I just love the big screen. Went into a 2005 Chevy 2500hd. Without any amp changes from my last head unit this thing sound way better. Gonna sound even better after tuning on the amps.

Great software and build quality. Bad integration. Ugly sound.
An amazing idea with great features but lacking execution. Well what do I mean by that? Well for starters let's talk about the software which I believe is the biggest plus and also the biggest flaw of this unit. For the good bits which is probably what most people want to know is that it's fast, responsive, customizable to an insane degree, the UI is friendly and easy to understand and it just works in addition to a big screen that isn't to big to be annoying and fits most cars you would throw at it. My biggest plus is that it has 2 mounting methods being on frame (flush or mostly flush) and on its "floating" screen configuration which it's replacement the wt5000nex does not have. This would be the biggest thing if you are using a car from 2012 and back in that case I would say get it if you can before it gets replaced. But the bad bits (in my opinion) start when pairing this with a newer vehicle because most of my complaints come from idatalink maestro integration. When doing so you would probably buy a idatalink maestro to go a long with it believing you are keeping a lot of factory features but a lot more of it is fluff than retaining features. For example here is some stuff you gain or keep. 1. You can retain gauge cluster connectivity and information. 2. You keep back up camera. 3. You can add vehicle stats to the radio and clear codes 4. If you have sonar backup sensors those can also be displayed on the radio allowing you to retain them. 5. You can add radar detection to the Maestro RR to operate with the radio For the most part that sounds all good but depending on your vehicle these are the things you lose out on. The car I tried this on is a 2023 Nissan Versa so for a newer car that can be a good base line for newer vehicles. But this is all coming from the perspective that you spend an additional 250 to 300 dollars to retain factory features. 1. You lose Factory GPS antenna 2. You lose steering sense (but keep in mind the Maestro RR can see it but the radio does nothing with it) 3. You lose dynamic parking lines (parking lines that move with the wheel pioneer can integrate it but they just never have) 4. You lose Factory microphone (however idatalink promised there will be a microphone retention module coming out this year) 5. You lose cross traffic alerts when backing up. I more bring these up as someone who lives in a city who needs to parallel park a lot and these features are important to me. JVC and Kenwood have it even on the cheapest units that officially support the Maestro RR data cable. And a 10 inch screen is just to big so it's a bummer that this is the only 9 inch radio at this price bracket that supports Maestro RR and it just doesn't have everything. This also goes for the Flagship units being the 7600 and 8600. But the main thing you are looking for is sound how does it sound. And I'm sad to say I believe it to be the most disappointing part of the unit itself. Something to get out of the way is that I replaced my factory speakers with Kickers flagship units. And the tweeters were replaced with JBl club units. And with my factory unit it sounds pretty good for the most part. Just that bottom end is my problem it just misses that low end punch. And I believed it could use more high end that's why I bought this pioneer. So what's up with the sound quality? Well for starters it definitely gives the low end punch and it nice and it's exactly what I wanted in that area. But the problem is middle to high end. The mids are ok they just sound hollow but the high end is my biggest problem. The strings no longer feel like they are being played in the car with you and voices just sound muffled. I've done a whole day of testing and tweaking and nothing would remedy the sound problem. The part I've left out to this point is that on top of all of this and the reason why I'm returning it is the fact that there is a audible white noise coming from the unit and the speakers when everything is turned down or mute. No matter how high or low the volume is there is always the groan of white noise coming from something. Which is audible during music playback. The consensus. The good: The units size, screen size, screen quality, customization, and software are top notch. Everything feels smooth. The wireless carplay and Android auto just work without issue. And phone calls sound pretty decent on it as well. If you are just replacing a head unit that's on its way out and you don't care about the Maestro RR stuff I think this could maybe be a good pick. The bad: this definitely has to be the idatalink website promising so many features with pictures and menus of features just for it to not feel any more advanced than steering wheel controls while not adding much for the price tag. The ugly: Outside the white noise problem I think over all the unit was alright. Sound is subjective just because I didn't vibe with it doesn't mean you won't. It's always something to sleep on and think on. Recommendations: if this is around your price range and again you don't care about any of the Maestro RR stuff a unit I have had experience with and loved is the Stinger Elev8 at launch it was about 900 dollars now it's 329. But if you're in a newer vehicle and want to keep all your factory features and you purley want to switch because of audio then there is nothing I can recommend more than now to just keep your factory head unit and pair it with something like a Kicker Key 200.4. However if you really really need a new head unit, have a newer car, and want to keep all the factory features then I can only say go with Kenwood or JVC because they have the best integration with Maestro products. I've never written a review before. So I hope this was somewhat helpful for someone. And I hope you have a good day :)

After usingit for a month i was wondering why there are less features, offcourse there is a better one like 7600 but even i have dmh z9250 6.8 inch unit which has a lot of features. Auto EQ, wireless mirroring, sd card slot, hdmi, dsp features from old p9000 or 7250 etc. This one is not a disappointment but it could have been better for the price.
