Good value and qaulity ,not an exact fit on older installs but not impossible .
This was to replace a 20 + years '5 Lever Mortice Deadlock' and not much had changed in that time as far as design principles, but the dimensions and keyhole layout geometry were different in my case and this meant akward labour, if like me you're not a experienced fitter. Great kit (every thing you need ...screws, inside /outside keyhole escutcheons, template, lock and lockbox), although the lockbox seemed oversize, it agreed with the "NEW DOOR" instalation guide yale seem to have supplied (a list of the kit parts is not included ,you work out what you have is correct or not by the fitting guide and the parts you are replacing being like for like-ish .The length of lockbox slot=50mm yet the mortice lockbar is about 35mm (like a small foot in a large shoe) .. so the lockbox seemed to be universal and probably the same one is supplied with both the 67 mm and 80 mm door lock kits .Like for like installation ..newer doorlock replacements maybe would just slide straight in and the diementions be a better match than mine.. like shown in the helpful video 'yale' have made to show the general install (don't expect to walk away as clean clothed as the young lady or man though) .Tools i found myself using were ... philips head screw driver ,chisel and drill .My twenty year door lock i replaced is a 2.5 inch (67 mm) lock ,the replacement is also 67mm but needed an extra 12.5 mm depth ,for this next gen lock to be able to slide fully into the door frame and the keyhole is now 7 to 10 mm lower and further toward the centre of the door by 4mm ,also both sides of the new lock have a rectangular metal plates welded in place over the lock mechanism ,for added lock tamper proof protection i believe ,which required chesil woodwork to shoehorn this extra clearance and allow the lock into the door slot .Many many hours later and wood shaving all cleared away ,all the new parts fitted + screwed inplace i'm finnished .Hmm the new lock feels smooth and has slick pricise bolt throw as the as the key is turned .A SATISFYING JOB DONE ,A GOOD PURCHASE .

Not Enough Keys Suppled
Very difficult to get excited about locks but I’m happy with the quality and it was fairly easy to install as I was replacing a similar type of lock. However I have deducted a star as it came with only 2 keys! I would have thought most households would require 4. I paid £22 for the lock and it be about £15 to get 2 more keys cut. How barmy is that? Have Yale done a deal with Timpsons?

Does the job
I bought this as a direct replacement for an older version and this one works perfectly. It fit exactly in the previous cavity of the door. It feels really solid, the key turns easily and I can see it lasting a good long while. Nothing to complain about, stick with Yale and you will get a reliable lock

5 lever mortise lock
Excellent 5 lever door lock. It is slightly deeper than normal mortise locks so be ready to chisel out your current lock recess. I drilled mine more to help with removing the excess wood. Very smooth action and keys appear quite robust, something I’ve noticed people complain of other manufacturers.

Locked on...
As expected from Yale Locks, great build quality and a lovely finish. Key action smooth and consistent. Fitting was easy enough if you have done it before, I had to make the door cut out larger as this lock a little bigger. Everything in the package in terms of screws trim plate escutions ect.

Dimensions changed
I had a Yale P-M562-PB-67 from 2010 which I needed to change and it turns out Yale has used same product code, but altered the dimensions. Most annoying one was the faceplate had shrunk from 144mm to 134mm. Had to send back, if I had fitted this, I would have had to add a thin 5mm strip of wood top and bottom of faceplate. Found Union 2134E - BS 5 Lever Deadlock (67mm) fitted perfectly and was exact same dimensions of old Yale.

For an American who loves locksport, it's very nice to be able to affordably get these locks. Excellently made, good challenge. And delivered to me early (your mileage may vary).
