25 year old lightbulb replaced successfully
25 years ago a bathroom light was installed purchased at Ikea. It failed. However Ikea don't stock replacements any more so I tried Amazon. Low and behold, Osram still make them and I bought one on-line. It was delivered ahead of schedule and was a perfect replacement. Excellent customer service.

Osram is the best
Have been using Osram bulbs for most purposes where possible (house, car etc) and I am always amazed why anyone would not like to purchase these as they perform really well and the longevity is just excellent. It just goes to show all the investments in R&D they make is not for nothing. Even better, when there is an issue, the Osram Customer service has been quite helpful up to now but I have hardly ever needed to make use of it. Quality is excellent, I still try not to touch the glass of any bulb as I was taught and use thin gloves but the light that comes out of the bulbs is more than good enough for reading purposes !

Works and fits well, bright at 6000K
Fitted perfectly into a pretty old reading lamp with no flickering. One tube is slightly darker than the other but I don't mind because it is too bright for my purposes anyway. I should have got the warm white version.If you need bright light for detailed work its good. I'd say it will be too tiring for reading.It came in an oversized envelope and the box it was in was crushed. I thought it would be broken but it wasn't.
