Great home/hobby
This is my one-spool-down review: great little welder. I use this instead of toting around my 220V Lincoln. This little guy can do decent up to 3/16" on my old 1970s wiring whilst powered through a 50' 10/3 SOOW. I can only weld about an inch at full power before I have to let it sit (to keep my 15A circuit from tripping). If you're a hobbiest, DIYer, or need a light MIG to haul around, look no further. A bit more pricey than the other MIGs on here but I guess I have a bit of brand loyalty.

Does everything I need and then some!
Let me start of by saying I am not a welder. I am a high school science teacher by trade. I am very handy and have a love of woodworking, electronics repairs, building/engineering design projects, and a wide variety of other things, but I am not a professional in any way. I would call myself a DIY enthusiast. I recently needed a welder to repair some steel fencing around the house. I looked into my options and decided that a flux core welder would probably be idea, but I always try to buy tools that are better than my needs, with the idea that they will last a lot longer and be more versatile. MIG welding is one of those things that I may need at somepoint down the road when I am working on cars (another hobby of mine), so when I saw that this one could also be setup for MIG welding I decided to spend a bit extra for that capability since I do not want to have two welders in my garage. This one is wonderfully compact and runs off the 110V power from my house. I do use a thicker gage extension cord with it but when I set it up with Lincoln Electric branded flux core wire (ordered seperately) and set it to the recommended settings for the job I was doing I found that it was very easy to use. My welds were not pretty because I am not a professional welder, but I did find that I was able to get very good results and within just a few welds I was getting very nice results. I was very impressed with how portable this welder is and how little space it takes up. My backpack of welding supplies and safety gear (also from Lincoln Electric) actually takes up more space than the welder. Heck, I think my welding helmet is larger than this welder. Setting it up was easy. Using it was easy. This was definitely a better welder than I needed, but I am so glad I have it!

worth it!
got this for my boyfriend when he graduated from his welding program it is so worth the money. It’s very compact and transportable but still packs a punch and will get the job done. Overall, we love.

Great little welder would recommend to anyone.
Love this little welder. I set mine up on gas and it does a great job. I’ve always been used to running a two twenty welder even on lighter materials but this thing does an amazing job of lighter materials.

Good machine, don’t bother with the mig unless you only do sheetmetal.
Machine is very good for money, capability, portability. Will weld 1/4” but not with solid wire, you’ll need to be using the right flux cored wire for it. The provide Lincoln wire is good but way too expensive, cheapest brand I’ve found for the same spec wire at 2lb spools is the penguin stuff for E71T-11 flux, not to be confused with the E71T-GS which is different between brands. You can find plenty of cheap gs wire but not much 11. The 11 wire will weld smoother generally and look better, also won’t penetrate as much but it’s still pretty good. If you want to use mig, you’ll have to go slower than you can on flux. But it’s not a problem when you have just a few welds that you need to get to with an extension cord and a small tank, should probably be sticking to flux for that stuff anyway.

Awesome little welder
I have several much more capable welders and simply bought this welder to see if it was any good. I was really surprised. I only flux core welded so far. Built this small 5x10 trailer as I had everything but the tires already. Thought it would be a good project to test the welder. Everything welded great good control and smooth. Ohh and to really test it out in the field I ran it on 150ft extension cord! 100ft 10ga and 50ft 12ga cords. So far only used the trailer twice hauling 30 panels of 16ft roofing and 4 bags of cement to give me more tongue weight so close to 2k pounds and trailer handled no problems on a 6 hour! Round trip. Over all if you want an entry point welder or if you do mobile welding and want something easy and portable that can run off small generator then this welder is perfect.

Great Value for your money
Great value for your money, to be honest this little buzz box exceeded my expectations it does everything I need it to do from flux to regular MiG and for its small body it’s a power house. The portability of it Lincoln cheaped out on the carrying strap if you were to put it on your sholder so it’s very uncomfortable it prefer to use it on a bench top. Easy to use and for a person that’s been welding for 5 years the internal reference guide helps when it comes to this welder as I’m used to the industrial welders. I would have to say I did have a poor experience at first I ordered this and it ended up getting stolen in shipment but thankfully to amazons support they were able to get me a replacement on the way witch they were speedy about and I’m currently very pleased.
