Great boba
This is a great tasting boba. A lot of you ended up with sticky or big blobs. You overcooked it. If you are making half, you still need lots of water. 8 to 10 cups for half the bag. Use a big and wide pot, this keeps it from sticking. Let it come to a boil first. Slowly add the boba, don't dump it. Keep stirring. After this you want to stir every 3 to 4 minutes to make sure they don't stick. After you add your boba, reduce your heat. It should still be boiling but not a lot, but more than a simmer. You boil for 40 minutes. At this point, your boba should be somewhat clear. Taste one. If it is the right consistency for you, you do not have to let it rest. When done, strain and rinse in cold water while STIRRING. Then store boba in brown sugar or sugar syrup. If you store in fridge for next day, warm in microwave. First day it tastes best.

Clean ingredient list but chalky
I loved that these were as close to the scratch made boba we love ingredients wise so I gave them a shot. They took a very long time to cook (about an hour total) and had a weird texture. They aren’t chewy at all, they almost feel mushy but then the center is chalky. Flavor is great, ingredients great, but minus two stars for the really unappetizing texture.

Easy to make, fantastic results!
I followed the directions to cook the boba pearls. While they cooked, I made two cups of an easy simple syrup with water and brown sugar. When the boba was done, I added the pearls to the syrup (everything was cool), then put them in individual serving baggies and put them in our freezer. Our kiddos can just pull a pack out, put it in hot water for a few minutes, fill a cup with ice & milk then add the boba & syrup. It’s SO delicious, so much healthier and only cost around $1.25 per cup! This is the way we will make boba from now on. I feel better knowing my kids get the treat they love, but with much cleaner and mostly organic ingredients (all other ingredients are organic).

Great taste from healthy ingredients
I really like the flavor of the pearls they just slightly sweet and a good texture however, the pearls are really only good the day you make it. The second day they got very sticky and dry. I will try again but only cook a portion of them at a time and use them that day. Mine cooked in the instant pot. I may have left them in there an extra 10 minutes so I will be more on it next time and see if it improves the texture. All in all, it's nice to find a healthy pearl for tea.

Look elsewhere
Meh overall. Followed the instant pot directions and still ended up with some undercooked pearls. Speaking of, this is pretty much Sago and much more expensive. The pearls are white in color, not black like bubble tea boba, and the chewy texture is different as well (not in a good way). Ill just buy Sago next time for a better price if thats what this is. Disappointed

Most Delicious Boba In The World
Honestly I had no idea how many chemicals and non-food oddities were in the average boba drink you buy out at a shop — truly shocking. But I really LOVE boba and didn’t want to give it up. Cue: Better Boba. These bubbles are OUT OF THIS WORLD INCREDIBLE!!!! So easy and fun to make — I sent pictures and videos of the cooking process to my family and it was a really fun activity. At the end I sweetened with a little maple syrup and WOW — it was so much easier to make (and clean up after) than I would have imagined. To make a boba drink I recreated a standard favorite: Black Milk Tea, with decaf earl gray and oat milk. SO GOOD! But after my boba tea was done I wasn’t, so I ate some of the fresh boba bubbles with a spoon and now have a new favorite dessert: Better Boba. Seriously, it’s that good. I want to have it on ice cream, put it in my iced coffee, and live this boba dream life every day. Tip: I’m glad I made the whole package at once because it’s helpful to standby and stir as it bubbles away on the stovetop. The second half of the boba went covered in the fridge overnight and was still good the next day. Now that I’ve had Better Boba — which has deep flavor and consistent smoothness you don’t always get at a boba tea shop — I’m planning to always have it on hand. I’m so thank this product exists. I’d buy it by the bucket-full if I could. Thank you. Thank you, Better Boba! Customer for life!

This Boba is tasteless!!
Totally tasteless!!!! They were pasty to the touch and completely tasteless. Do not recommend at all!!! We were having a Boba Birthday party and we threw out a whole bag of these Bobas. Wasted my money. I had to give it a one to have this submitted but it’s not even a one!

Great with cooking modifications
I was reluctant to try this boba due to the negative reviews, but it turned out great with some modifications to the cooking instructions (courtesy of ChatGPT). For two large drinks, I measured 1/4 cup (~4 tbsp) of the dry boba pearls. This is the procedure I followed: — Bring 12 cups of water to a rolling boil (The large amount of water keeps the pearls from sticking, cooking unevenly, or turning gummy.) — Add the 1/4 cup of dry pearls and stir immediately for 30 seconds. — Turn the heat down to a medium simmer. Simmer for 40 minutes uncovered and stir GENTLY every 3 minutes. — Turn off the heat and cover the pot. Allow the pearls to rest undisturbed for 30 minutes. — Drain and rinse with cool water for 10 seconds. Sweeten with your sweetener of choice. At the end of the rest period, I was concerned that the boba looked a little pale, but the texture was perfect and they were cooked all the way through. The instructions on the back of the bag are a bit misleading — 6 cups of water is definitely not enough for the whole bag (which apparently is 12 servings!)
