Good for general area illumination.
This head torch does not have a beam so is good for illuminating an area rather than a spotlighting. Horses for courses. Lightweight and comfortable fitting is assured with the adjustable headband. The quality of the materials used seem good. Nicely designed no sharp edges. I found the small switch a bit fiddly to use but that is the only minor issue. Other than that, thus is a good piece of kit.

Nice and bright
It lights the way home in the dark perfectly. If you don't want to wear it on your head you can just hold it. We'll worth the money.

Descent head torch!
All in all a good head torch! Omits a good amount of light spread out. Charges quite quick and battery lasts enough for my needs.. it’s a comfortable fit and seems robust! My only criticism is that the power on button is very hard to find to the torch on.. could do with being slightly raised in order to feel it easier… especially with gloves on!

Comfortable and good light.
Great product! Comes fully charged, which is a nice touch. Comfortable to wear, easy to operate and good overall light when walking the dog at night.

Decent torch for the money but be aware some of these don't last very long
Decent torches battery doesn't last very long though probs 1.5-2 hours max (some of these torches have lasted me 2.5-3 hrs at a push)

Switches off after a minute
Headlamp only stays lit for a minute or so and then switches off. I bought it for running but can't use at all. My bad for only testing outside of the returns period. Would not recommend.

Lots of light, lots of battery life. Almost perfect.
I like head torches: they’re easy to carry and always put the light where you need it. But I was always irritated by the standard format — small lamp, narrow beam, heavy batteries — so I thought I'd give this a try. What I wanted was the broad light and rechargeability. This torch delivers entirely on its promise. Press the button once, the white beam comes on - loads of light to walk the dog on unlit roads at night, and loads of light for DIYing in dark corners. Another press, the light gets a little brighter. Long-press, and the light comes on red - again, plenty of light to see by while walking at night. Another press, and the red light starts flashing maniacally (I have no idea why you'd ever use this!) The torch is very light to wear, and I've found the battery life more than adequate. There’s a power meter on the top — four LEDs that light up to show the battery level when it's switched-on — so there’s no need to run out of juice without warning. Overall, then, it does exactly what it says on the tin. So, why only four stars? I think it's let down by a number of silly, unforced errors. Firstly, the button. It’s tiny, and not well-defined. With bare hands I can find it OK, but when wearing gloves it’s undetectable, and I find myself squishing left and right along the width of the torch. It would have cost noting to make the button a little bigger, or mould some shape into the body of the torch to help you find it. (I’m going to glue some ridges onto mine — I’ll report back here and let you know if it worked.) Secondly, the shape of the body of the torch. When it describes itself as a “head torch”, I naturally assumed they meant a human head. I don’t know what shaped heads the designers of this had, but mine is definitely round. The torch, however, is nearly flat. As a result, all the pressure is in the middle of my forehead, and I have to tighten the elastic headband to stop it from slopping about. After ten minutes or so, it gets really uncomfortable. (I know: it's designed to fit onto a hard-hat, which does have a flat bit at the front. But I’m not going to walk my dog in a hard-hat!) As it is, I wear it over a woolly hat, and that cushions it to some extent, but I don't know why they couldn't have made it out of something slightly rubbery, or provided foam cushions along the length, or anything really to help it fit a human head. Thirdly, another reviewer complained that the battery ran down when it was not being used. I found that too - it went from full charge to almost-empty in three days! But it only did it once. I tracked it down to this: when you switch off the red light by long-pressing the button, the light goes off but the battery meter stays on. It’s the meter that's depleting the battery. How can something as simple as a torch suffer from a software fault!? But, so long as you remember to switch it off properly, it's not a problem. Finally, the difference between the dim and bright white is vanishingly small. It looks like the dim mode is about 90% of full. If it went down to 10% or even 30% to eke out a dying battery, OK: it would make sense. But like this: it's just an extra button push to switch it off. I wonder why they bothered. So, overall, although it's let down by some silly design errors, none of them is a dealbreaker, and underneath them all it is a really brilliant product at a decent price. I don't regret buying two.
