They are cute and very small but very tricky and I have made 3 so far, you have to be quite a good knitter to follow these patterns. It's very nicely written and laid out and well explained, but I find it difficult. Review: Great little book - Great little book - and superb value 2nd hand! Arrived promptly.

Hope you can crochet
Got this to do knitted creatures for granddaughter but aswell as knitting you have to be able to crochet which I can't do, I've tried over the years it defeats me. And even with the instructions that don't go far enough for me I struggled with the crochet bit

Easy to follow patterns
Have completed all but the mermaid as grandsons didn’t want that one and the crab and hermit crab bit too tiny for my stiff fingers

Directions are difficult to follow for items with more than one color. The phrase "keeping the colors correct" is used rather than stating what colors to use. I'm not a beginner but I gave up and put this book in the donation bag. The book is a beautiful hardback gift sized book with lovely photographs of the knitted animals. However the directions are confusing and disappointing when not working out. I thought these would be fun projects but they are not sadly. I don't recommend

Cute fish designs, but very frustrating when there’s a mistake in a pattern and pieces you’ve already knit don’t fit. I had to go to the publishers website to find out in erata an entire paragraph about the anglerfish was missing. Soesn’t anyone at the publishing house try these patterns out before they publish the book?
