Quick and easy to fit and does the job.

Use some long nose pliers and pull out the part that clips to the lid rim. Then put nose of the pliers in the plastic case and you should be able to grip a small metal part and pull the plastic case out. Then push the new unit into place. Took 30 seconds Works well but no idea how will last but looks the same as the one pulled out. New bin is about £70 so a good saving

This is the 2nd time I have purchased these clips and the quality has drastically reduced. The first clip, fitted 21.7.24 failed on 3.8.24 and the 2nd failed within 4 hours. There is no support or option to contact the seller, other than seller feedback, which is where i am going next. I was delighted to find the clips available to buy, saving the purchase of a replacement bin, but these clips are not good enough.

I thought this clasp was the problem but it turns out it's a bit of plastic broken around the spring mechanism at the back of the lid. It was easy enough to replace.
