This is a great beginner wheel. I am an art teacher and have taken wheel throwing classes at a studio prior to buying. I took a chance on this and it was such a great buy. I have thrown up to 5 pounds so far on this model. It works great, good speed, quiet. I’ve been able to learn and work well with this machine and would recommend to anyone thinking about getting into it!As a beginner, putting it on cinder blocks to make it higher/the correct height has made a HUGE difference. So much easier now, make sure you get it at the correct height to avoid back strain and correct your craft

Purchased the 3-leg mint-green wheel with the plastic foot pedal. It worked fine for the first 3x uses. On the 4th use the wheel was randomly stuck on high speed in the middle of using it and it would not shut off unless you cut the power.I opened up the plastic pedal and was fortunately able to troubleshoot the problem w/o customer service because the user manual has no troubleshooting tips.Inside theres a black gear and a white gear. The white gear controls the speed, and the black gear is attached to the pedal and pushes against the white gear when pressure is applied. Somehow they got off track.The white gear needed to be adjusted back to an off/neutral position. This required a Phillips screwdriver to disassemble the black gear from the pedal to allow you to manually twist the white gear back to the off position. Afterwards, reassemble the black gear to align with the corrected white gear.Works fine now (so far). I can see where it will probably happen again so the pedal should be used with gentle pressure to prevent the cheap plastic gears from getting off track.Otherwise satisfied for the price.

Everything is great. It’s small and cute, seems sturdy. Except for the most important thing, which is the pedal and the speed. The moment it’s turned on, it starts spinning. The pedal will only speed up the spinning process, and can’t slow it down. So now I’m stuck with this super high speed spinning wheel that it actually hurts my palm when I try to throw on the wheel. I was excited to try it out and it’s such a bummer that the pedal didn’t work.Edit to add: the seller reached out to me and offered to send a different wheel. The new wheel came, worked, and everything was great. Their customer service is also really good.

Was a birthday gift for my daughter, works great and she is happy with it however was disappointed that it didn't have a foot pedal as described. By the time she caught it was missing, it was to late to return.

Cons: There is no way to stabilize or adjust the legs. I have yoga blocks under mine but it still isn't completely level. I wish the legs were adjustable. No pegs for the bat. Have been throwing directly on the metal wheel which works but is harder on my hands. Greasy wheel head.Pros: affordable, arrived quickly, good customer service, cute color!

Update review-I was sent a new wheel and after It was placed I thought it was great, unfortunately this wheel has the same issue. Customer service was responsive and very nice. But the wheel doesn’t hold the clay due to the greasy black oil on it. I tried cleaning it with multiple products and I don’t know what else to do. The tray also doesn’t connect well after a couple times of removing it. I gave three starts because of customer service. It is cute I love the color but there grease makes it unusable.After some trouble with my wheel, the company reached out to me to fix the issue. This is very much appreciated as most company’s wouldn’t care. I will update my review when I replace the wheel head. They have informed me that this is not a common issue and they want to make it right. Thank you so much for taking the time to replace my wheel.Old review - Unable to clean the grease out of it. Turns my clay black . I’ve washed it 5 times still no improvement.
