LorAnn Oils Peach SS Flavor, 4 ounce bottle

I am very disappointed with this flavoring. I make cold brew iced tea by the gallon a few times a week for daily drinking. At the moment I am using 5 lipton tea bags and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract and 1 quarter cup of sugar, sometimes a little lemon juice from the bottle per batch. This comes out really nice, good flavor and low sugar. I am looking to add some new flavors to the mix things up and keep the sugar levels low. I've always liked peach iced tea, you know stuff like diet snapple, arizona and crystal light. This flavoring has a really nice sent, it would make a wonderful peach perfume. But it has almost no flavor until you add a lot of sugar. I've been experimenting with dosages and such. As per the instructions I started with a half teaspoon, nice smell, no flavor, so I added an other half, the same. So I added an other teaspoon, bring it up to a 2 teaspoons no of flavoring, difference. Tasting between adjustments with a shot glass. On a hunch I poured a full glass and started adding sugar. After 5 full teaspoons (eating spoon not measuring spoons) of sugar it developed and nice peach flavor. I guess sweet is a more important component then I expected. I think I am just going to make my own syrup by simmering some pureed frozen peaches in extremely low sugar, sugar water. A single peach and a cup or two of water should make enough for two or three gallons of tea. I really want to keep my sugar intake down and avoid artificial sweeteners.

When this says super strength that's what it is. Use very little in your recipe and add more if need be.

I've been experimenting with adding to my personal recipe collection a 'hot peach BBQ sauce'. My small batch 10-12 oz home brew BBQ sauce concoction was used as a base for this recent attempt. Previously, I WAS using Simply Squeeze brand infused peach puree syrup. In small amounts, the puree syrup was weak flavor-wise to compete with the spices like chili flakes, black pepper and mustard powder so a lot was needed and added more liquids and sugar to the batch which I was trying to avoid. The puree was always good in drinks though. So in my recent attempt at hot peach sauce, it didn't take much of LorAnn Peach SS flavoring to do the job with less than 2 mL (0.07 oz) per 10 oz batch and added negligible extra liquids to simmer-off. I'll probably back off and use 1 (0.035 oz) or 1.5 mL (0.05 oz) next time. Flavor was definitely there but 2 mL IMHO was a wee bit much for my purposes. It almost masked the spices ! A graduated 3 mL disposable eyedropper was used. Scent of peach wasn't noticeable. I think the peppers etc. drowned out any scent it was supposed to have but I wasn't looking for a peach scent in BBQ sauce. A reliable hot peach flavor sauce now added to my small batch BBQ recipe book. YAY !

Best Peach flavor and color. The seal and quality is amazing. I wish it came in a 6 pack like Watkins. Will definitely be purchasing more very soon

i get some harney's gunpowder and also their sencha. i brew them together, four times per batch. usually i split one brew into two coffee mugs. four times, that would make eight coffee mugs full. that's just about half a gallon per batch. 1 dram of the SS peach flavour happily covers a whole gallon brewed this way. i sweeten it with honey, and add some potassium sorbate as a preservative to prevent fermentation. this bottle (4 oz) should cover me 64 gallons! if each gallon lasts me a week, then this bottle is more than a year's supply of peach tea — sorry snapple and publix, you lost a customer!
