Great Brushes!
Great Brushes! What I love about these is their versatility. They have the right blend of natural & synthetic to hold generous amount of water for making even washes, soft, and spring back into shape to make fine, fine lines even on the largest brush. Love this versatility! The handles have a nice feel and pleasure to hold and play on paper with. I had bought their dagger brushes and was so impressed that I thought I would give these a try--and these again exceeded my expectations. A larger flat pure Kolinsky sable is near impossible to find and this is a great alternative to achieve the larger watercolor strokes, blended and separated, that I am like to play on paper with. Highly recommend!

Questionable construction, hairs fall out
Reviews encouraging but still, I’ve found loose hairs that come loose when painting. Also, one of the brushes has something hard and pointy sticking out from handle into brush hairs.Update: It’s been only a few months since I bought these and suddenly dozens of hairs have started falling out with just a couple strokes! It’s getting worse!

Great bristles got watercolor
I took a chance on these brushes and was pleasantly surprised by the smooth action of bristles across the paper. They hold the right amount of water and the flat handle feels quite comfortable. Removing the glue from the bristles in boiling water as suggested took several tries but was simple there was no shedding of bristles at all.

Not much spring back.
I was disappointed as the brushes are OK for a flat Wash but they don’t have much spring back so I was a little disappointed.

Great for wetting watercolor paper!
These brushes were just what I was looking for to wet a piece of watercolor paper before I started a wet in wet piece. The different sizes allow me to be more specific about my water placement. Easy to hold onto and light weight!

Disappointed
Disappointing, hage brush is for blending, these brush heads have been wedged between two pieces of wood so are quite stiff and awkward to use. No idea wha I might use them for?
