Little Beauty

An instant heat with my 18 month old boy. We read it over and over again. Carefully illustrated and it tells the story in different depth to adults and children through the drawings. My boy likes the cuddling and smashing the most and always stops at the illustration where they do 'everything together' singing the 'head-to-toe' song.

This book is great for children and adults. The pictures are really lovely with lots of attention to detail. However, unrelated to this it would be even greater great if Amazon would PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE OF TAX in the UK so others won't have to suffer further cuts in services, schools, public transport, housing etc. Please Amazon, behave more responsibly and contribute to a fairer society.

A totally delightful and emotional story by a fantastic writer and illustrator. Full of love and friendship, this is also great for helping with anger management.

What an excellent book! Anthony Browne is one of our favorite family authors now. We would like to collect all this series now. My six year old son could read this over and over and never get tired of it.

I don't think it's quite as charming as "Gorilla" but it's still a fantastic book.

The illustrations tell the story! A lovely story about friendship and inclusion! A cleverly written story which takes you on a journey of friendship!

My little boy loves this cute story. He even made a story box out of it for his homework.

Brilliant book

it's a cute story and the visuals are nice. Anthony Brown is a good children books author. we definitely recommend.

Unlike a couple of other reviewers who hated the ending, I liked this book a lot. It's clearly based on the life of Koko, the female gorilla who learned to use sign language, but this is fiction, and thus allowed to bend history into a better plot. The ending made me laugh - it seems that the cat has been around humans too much and has learned to lie.

Excellent book for preschoolers, my grandson was introduced to this book at story time at the library and kept talking about the gorilla book. He was 2 at the time . I checked it out so he could read it at home, which he did every night for a month when it had to be returned, so I purchased it for him. He really enjoys this book. Illustrations are beautiful. The story itself is about two very unlikely friends. I would recommend for 2-4 year olds.
