Perfect for rebuilding tilt lock window sash channel balances
I purchased 4 different types of cord until I found this cord to match the existing cord in my channel balances perfectly. I used it to rebuild the channel balances for my tilt lock window sashes. It is holding up well. Some of the other cords I purchased in similar size thickness were much stiffer and did not work in the block and tackle or hold knots well. This appears to have a single twisted center strand (core or kern) with woven outer sheath (mantle). It stays knotted well and passes through the pulley system nicely.
